Bad take. He wasn't tight, and he certainly wasn't trying to lose the game at all. He saw Penn State couldn't move the ball at all without the help of something catastrophic like a turnover. So he ran it 30 times in a row because he knew he could rely on his defense to not get got. It was the perfect change-up to combat the positive pass rush Penn State had in the first half. If you don't drop back to pass, you immediately negate the only advantage Penn State had anywhere on the entire field.

I think that had a lot to do with it but in the 3rd JJ got up limping. I think they were being cautious with him because his scrambling ability is huge. They ran it down their throat because they couldn’t compete with Michigans OL the entire game.

I think Franklin and the entire staff should be fired except for Manny Diaz. It’s time. Franklin is terrible and makes the oddest of in game decisions and he routinely gets out coached. This is systemic and has been his norm every single season. He’s below mediocre as a coach. Seems like a nice guy but let’s ask a simple question. At any one of the other top programs what position could he hold under a really good head coach? If he went to Alabama where would Saban put him? Offensive coordinator? No way. Defensive coordinator? No way. D Line coach? O line coach? No way. Linebackers coach? Never. QB coach? Running backs coach? Receivers coach? Laughable. Recruiting coordinator? Maybe.

A swing pass that loses yardage, followed by a QB keeper that failed to move the sticks. Mich seemed to take over after that. How do you fail to make a first down from 2nd and half a yard?

Michigan planned on running as much as they did. This was practice for there run game. They have been talking all week about running the football and how this was going to be where they muscled up and just ran the football. They had success last year doing it against PSU so that was the plan. People for two years kept saying oh Michigan is one dimensional they can't pass. Now this year people say they can't run lol. See people just don't understand football and how things work. They just see the plays but they don't see the schemes so Michigan plays games how the defense gives it to them. Michigan is one of the best adjustment or situational reading teams there is. No it's not because of sign stealing! It's because they know how to play against every possible defensive drawn up for them.

Outcoached by an assistant coach. Just like Ohio State going for it in negative territory with 7 minutes left, does the same bonehead move with 4 minutes left…. He’s quit on our team and defense twice…. Wtf on the first 2 point conversion, we just grabbed the momentum back and Franklin rips it away from us. The second 2 point conversion is a fireable offense…..I’m not as sick and heartbroken as usual as I knew we’d lose, I knew we’d be out coached and I knew not to drop 50 f bombs…. An all too familiar result….. like Denny Green said…. We are who you think we are 4-16 versus OSU and Michigan…I feel sorry for the players who play their asses off…. Franklin used his psychology degree in coaching like he’s trying to trick his own mind….. refer to Little Big Man and “ the reversal of a Custer Decision”…. That’s what is in Franklins head…. He’s Custer…. Ohio State and Michigan Jack Crabbe, the only survivor of Custer’s last stand…. Don’t know what I’m talking about, U Tube reversal of Custer decision….. Pegula needs drop 50 million and buy him out…. 4-16 against those teams is acceptable? For shit’s sake man…. Quit drinking the fricking Cool-Ade

I really hate to agree with Dave Jones because he’s ever so quick to flush our program but it’s hard to disagree with this analysis and none of the other reporters ever really ask the tough questions at Franklin’s pressers. Listen if players want to transfer out show them the door. I’d rather support players who love PSU than are looking for the best deal. I’m so disappointed with the offense all year. I thought Allar was the savior but he’s not the running QB. They have not developed his arm strength as Yurchich still thinks Allar is a viable run option. Even though he ran well today that’s not what u want to see from the arm talent I saw last year and in the Maryland game. Yurchich has a lot of explaining to do

Horrible.. 4th down decisions, 2 point conversion decisions, clock management decisions, play calling.. also talent management.
