It was another high-powered, high-output game for the Lion offense, in which moving the ball in chunks seemed so effortless and easy. This was a game where Penn State welcomed a Rutgers team that had a lot of offensive talent of it's own, with great receivers, some very capable running backs, and a playmaker at quarterback. The Scarlet Knights moved the ball and racked up the yards against Penn State, but got off to a poor start, and then just simply couldn't keep up with pace of the Penn State offense. The Nittany Lion defense made some early plays with turnovers to allow the home team to jump on Rutgers in the first quarter. After Rutgers gained some footing and got on the scoreboard, the field position got worse for the Lions. But it didn't matter because these guys scored from anywhere on the field.

Penn State moved onto 4-0 with the Rutgers victory. Rutgers fell to 2-2, and would finish 1994 with a 5-5-1 record as a member of the Big East.
