Penn State vs Iowa 1994 GAME STORY

The Nittany Lions could have scored more than 100 points in this one if they really wanted to. It was 35-0 going into the second quarter and the offensive reserves were inserted into the game well before halftime. Everything went well for Penn State in all phases of the game and yet, Iowa was no cupcake team.
Penn State's Top Performers:
Mike Archie: 6 carries, 55 yards, 2 TDs, 2 catches, 25 yards, TD
Ki-Jana Carter: 11 carries, 89 yards, 2 TDs
Brian Miller: blocked punt, pass deflection
Penn State won its third game of the season in ridiculous form, looking like the most dangerous team in the country. The visiting Hawkeyes suffered their first loss after having won their first two games by wide margins (2-1). Iowa then finished 1994 with a record of 5-5-1 in the Big Ten, and did not play in a bowl game.

I was lucky to be at that game with my wife and in-laws. The catch was that we sat in an Iowa section because the tickets were obtained by the in-laws who were Iowa residents. IMO, this offense was the best I have ever seen and could be the best of all time. So many games the starters were done at half or shortly after.
I was talking with an Iowa grad yesterday, who was at this game. He stated that "the 1994 Penn State Football team was the best Big 10 team he has ever seen!" He loved going to Beaver Stadium for the game, but the game was over in the first quarter.

@@j_r_3404 This argument is a perfect picture of how the NC was determined back then, an absolute joke. I lean toward Nebraska because great defense always wins out over great offense in the NC, but we'll never know thanks to the morons who run college football.
