Penn State University - 5 Things You Must Do as Student

www.gobeyondthebrochure.com/5-... - Top of the list is, of course, go to a Penn State football game. Whole heartedly dedicate yourself to this experience meaning tailgating for a solid eight hours in advance (even if this means beer before breakfast) and feeling the full vibration of standing in the student section as everyone jumps in unison to Zombie Nation. Tailgating is the best part as parents flood the lawns outside Beaver Stadium offering free hot dogs, free booze, and a unique social situation.

I've done 4 of the 5 although I stayed at East Halls as a Junior for one semester not as a freshman. . Never even considered climbing mount nittany. The walk from East Halls to my classes a mile away in winter was quite enough hiking for me.. At least there are large trees and buildings now around East Halls to break up the wind and weather effects. During a college search tour with my son 2 years ago, I was amazed to see that my Porter Hall Dorm room and amenities looked exactly the same 35 yrs later although the dining hall in the quad had been completely revamped. Don't know why this turned up on my recommended list 3 years after it was made, but it's a decent list. I would add "host a dorm party" but I guess those are really outlawed now.

Wow, so apparently nothing about the academic life or intellectual pursuits matter to a Penn State student. I've watched many videos on this university and apparently nobody goes there to study or learn.
