    The size of that bridge assembly is just ridiculous. Finally an anti- reverse dog spring I can see! This makes me want to get my big boys out and play with them.

    When they get this big, they are somewhat difficult to balance while installing the parts. Having said that, they are not that difficult to service and they deserve it.

    You finally had the time for this reel! Notwithstanding I will be looking for Quints 16/0. Though I read that the 16/0 in Jaws was a hybred of two different sized Penn Reels!!! But the young Speilberg wanted the biggest one he could find for the film!!! So I heard It was a 16/0 and another reel merged together!

    We used those long handles when fishing in 600-800 feet for rock fish off the Southern California coast. We had up to 10 hooks on a leader.

    Thats a great breakdown and reassembly video. 2 questions though. Why not replace the drag washers while it's all apart and do you have a video of a Senator 12/0 116L LH? I was stuck on where to install the anti- reverse tab or spring, and also the permanent style clicker replacement.

  • @2ndChanceTackle

    @2ndChanceTackle

    Жыл бұрын

    The LH model is reverse, so the a/R dog goes to the inner left and not the right side and shown in this video. The rest of the install process is the same - Dennis

    What does the size number mean I got to use a 4/0 which is a lot smaller reel .

  • @2ndChanceTackle

    @2ndChanceTackle

    Жыл бұрын

    That is one question that I have heard way too many answers to and I am not sure which is correct. The one that makes the most sense is the first number 4/0 12/0, etc means the amount of yards in hundred that the reel will hold of 100# line. So a 4/0 would hold 400 yards of the olde 1003 braided linen/dacron line. It may or may not be true, but it is the one I tend to believe - Thanks for asking - Dennis
