Love your no-nonsense delivery. The Penguono is wondrous. I want to make one but feel a tad intimidated…but I will persist. Thanks for a great video.
I love how yours is longer sleeves!! I want to make one and I want sleeves like yours!! It looks so cozy!!
Loved this! I’d heard about the Penguono via a podcast but never bothered to LOOK at any FOs and yours is gorgeous! I’m inspired!
Thank you for posting this! I’d been thinking about making Penguono so this was useful.
It looks beautiful, thank you for your advice, very helpful for planning what yarn to buy, I love the drap of yours so I will do what you did.
That is a beautiful garment. I am currently knitting a penguono for my brother for his birthday. I'm using my very substantial stash and will most likely make one for myself too. I really like how yours turned out.
Oh I want to knit my own Penguono! Love yours!
The colour choices are gorgeous! And I like the ‘right side’ better if I was going to wear it. I really appreciate knitters modelling unusual fits because it gives me such a good idea of how it may look on my body, resulting in a higher chance of me knitting it up! Thanks Taylor!
I love your Penguono. I am getting ready to make one of my own. I love your version.
I've been inspired to add this to my Ravelry queue. Thanks for this. :)
I’m about to start! Love your colors! 🤩
Your colour choices as always are beautiful, this is such a stunning piece 🥰

I ❤️ this sweater!
It's a great Penguino. Thanks for your tips. Do not worry one second longer about that sleeve detail.
❤ you could highlight that 'sleevemistake' with a contrasting color 😇
Your Penguono is gorgeous! I’m nearly finished mine but needed a bit of inspiration to keep at it to the finish line and your video has done that so thank you for sharing.

I’m here the serve!
OMG why haven't I made one yet? Yours is inspirational.
You’ve inspired me to add this pattern to my wishlist! One trick weaving in ends that I find particularly useful in Westknits patterns, which are typically edged in I-chord, is to weave my yarns into the I-chord (rather than across the body/of knitting.

Heidi Reszies what a brilliant idea! I’ll try that next time. :)
Thank you for sharing this. I frogged my previous attempt as I made it too small. I am inspired to do it again, but bigger! Thanks for your insights and inspiration!

You are so welcome!!
Your Penguono is lovely. I have the pattern and plan to knit one. I like your welts.....I may borrow that gradient concept. Personally, I like the rounded corners......it’s a soft look. If the sleeve difference bothers you pick one of the contrasting colors you used and crochet a chain into the fabric which will cover the color change on the one sleeve then repeat to match on the other. Balto here too!
I had not seen this pattern! Yours is lovely; I love the colours :)

Susana S thank you for the compliment!
Thank you for posting this. I have been considering purchasing the Penguono tutorial pkg/pattern. My husband really likes the piece, as do I; I am thinking this would be a great piece to knit over the winter. Your Penguono is lovely; your "mistakes" make it yours, Taylor.

My spouse wears it all the time!! 💕
Your color story is fabulous
🔥👏
After seeing you model this, I want to make one
Just like PJs is exactly right! I love mine! I lengthened the sleeves since they were bunching in my coat. It gets very cold here. I also would have added a bit of length at the back, maybe rounded, so it would ride up less.

Caitlin Brookes NICE!
💕💓
Since stash busting is an intention this year, this just went into my queue
It's so beautiful. I want to knit one. What's the size you choose to make? XL?
Восторг и....жаль что не всё понимаю. Подписалась...невозможно мимо такой красоты пройти. Спасибо!
This is beautiful! Was it a challenge? I’m a new knitter and I never can gauge how challenging a project is and if I’m going too far out of my skill level.

For me it was a challenge… not because of the pattern, it is well written… but holding dk double is hard in my hands and working such a large project is difficult to carry around. 🧡
Your Penguono is beautiful! What size is this? I made a medium and I think I should have made a large.

My Ravelry page says that I made the XL, but I know for sure I didn’t knit a swatch so who knows what size mine turned out to be! ❤️🧡😆
It looks great, your advise is really helpful, in your video you said you used the recommended needle size in the pattern that is (US 10 / 6.5) however on your Ravelry page you have listed US 7 -4.5 needles, Im not a very experienced, so could you clarify what size needles you used? I understand if you cant remember, I just love the drape of yours, and would love mine to turn out like yours.

I understand, thankyou for replying, I'll just have to swatch.
Hello I knit the swatch in chunky yarn and that was ok, but how do you choose the size you need?
Браво! 👏👏👏👏👏
I’m doing the I cord bind off and trying to figure out how to add some ease in the cord in the brioche section since the edge is slipped stitches.

Brioche? I don’t remember brioche.

@@TaylorOwen the very bottom gives you the option of garter stitch or brioche. The edge stitches on brioche are slipped so my concern is the cord will pull there compared to the rest of the garment which is single picked up stitches

@@lindaalikhan7962 ahhh… maybe do a round of knitting before the icord edge?
Wow, so impressive. I could see a belt around this sweater.....one of those stretchy types. Do you think this is a pattern for someone with no sweater experience? Thank you.

I don’t know if I had knit many sweaters before tackling the Penguono... with any project, I do think that the knitter’s determination to finish is essential. To me, this particular garment is more like knitting a blanket than a sweater... it’s so so big and there is a lot of working flat. Garter stitch makes working flat accessible for most new knitters, so I would say that if you have all the yarn you need to finish it, give it a go. I was very happy with my resulting of holding two strands of DK weight superwash throughout. I think it took close to 12 skeins!!
Any advice for seaming the shoulders?!
Were you able to determine the colours? i didn't see it on your ravelry : (
I’m wip penguono. I have problem in left front row 27. I finished row 26th, my working yarn is in the beggining of the row 27th. And now I should break the yarn, co 28 and start k37 or co cable method and k65, sl1 wyif? The pattern don’t say to break the yarn in the beggining of co so I co cable method but then I have full 66 stitches to knit not 37. In pattern in dannish there is "co28, k65" but in others languages "co28, k37". Can someone help me?

I haven’t knit this in a while... let me take a look at the pattern when I get home.
I love the modeled shots! I’m way too short to wear a garment like this but love the idea of it. ClaudiaSJI
Absolutely lovely knit, I’m getting prepared to knit my own. What size is this and what needle size did you use? 😃
