I will be creating a new guide where I focus more on the gameplay side of the guide, rather than showcasing the paragon board & skills and how they work. I would like to wait to make that video until Blizzard updates the community on the status of Edgemaster, and once they do I will post that build guide.

Didn't notice b4, ur u.i. is different than mine... Still didn't get skyhook, got WindForce atm. The 20% dbl damage w/knockback is nice, but 1st hit crit is probably better...

Same for me. I would like to see your Paragon and Skill Tree with the thinking behind it + how you wave control enemies and so on. I play Penetrating since the release cuz its just so much fun instead of Death Trap etc. Also I really like your voice ^^

I want all the guides you mentioned in the video.

The core points in this build are: CC high as you can (right now i have 34% CC and + 9%CC if imbued. So pratically always). The "Condemnation" dagger. "Aspect of the Expectant" and "Umbrous Aspect" that procs pratically always so u can have permanent orbs without even having the skill equipped in the skills bar. Putting points in "Dark Shround" you can choose to have MS or more CC if you are lacking it.

Yes please show us how you play it. I recently switched to this build and idk if I’m just doing it too aggressively like running in the middle of everyone or what but I can’t fully grasp how it’s played. If that’s makes sense😂I sometimes just get melted

Hahaha yes yes yes! This is very natural. There's a lot of small things like pacing and understanding dungeon layouts that can help with this. Regardless, even just seeing a few people commenting like this - I will definitely make my playstyle guide for this build tomorrow.

I personally run a version of the Penetrating Shot build that is as follows; (No Mobility skill, but +3 Max Evade Charges on boots) Q - Poison Trap - maxed, alongside the perk that has a 30% chance to reset the cooldowns of your Imbuement skills. W - Shadow Imbuement - maxed, alongside rank 5 Word of Hakan and a 4SI/4PI helm, my SI/PI are Level 12. E - Poison Imbuement - maxed, alongside the aforementioned; both are upgraded to Blended node. R - Rain of Arrows - all nodes Using this set up, most of my gear is based around trap skill reset, enemies in traps, making everything on the screen vulnerable all the time, and crowd-controlling everything. I also have additional mods/abilities that are things like; "+49% damage to Poisoned Enemies" and whatnot.

Interesting, do you have anything in your build that provides you with Unstoppable? Because in my opinion, since we're so squishy, which makes CC a death sentence; unstoppable is a must.

heya, i love the penetrating shot rogue and got most of the build shown in the first video together - i'd just say that i'd love to see you showing a bit more fitting footage of the changes you did to the build. Like for someone who just swapped to the build some of the explanations without the footage are a bit hard to get a grasp on - especially if you are not playing the game in the english version you might encounter issues trying to follow your guide:) otherwise great build, waiting for the D4 planner and an update after we got more info on the edgemastes aspect

I would love full playstyle break down

love an imbuement breakdown and especially the best or when to use penetrating shot it's sometimes hit or miss so it would be great for a do and don't type of example. Also why some penetrating shots clear out an entire group and others don't even with full combo points and imbuement for example shadow.

When i use this build my energy is gone instantaneous, is there something im missing out on? i can put out 2 penetrating shots and then i cant do anything until the energy regens.

Why do these builds not run shadow clones, do they not get the imbuements?

I would like to see how your build is from level 50ish to the next stages

There’s an aspect with dash, making it leave a grenade at the end of dash so it’s then essentially 2 skills. Been having a lot of fun with that. Dashing into the mob and stunning the mob first. There’s a couple passives to play with at that point too. Would you recommend that as a mobility alternative?

I personally believe the movement skill is all decided by personal preference. If you prefer to play a typical ranger approach, concealment is a more stealthy option, caltrops is an aesthetically ranger type as well. Then shadowstep (my choice now) is a more aggressive option to progress through dungeons faster, and dash would follow the same archetype - and work fine :)

i wonder whats better for nightmare dungeons tho.. barrage or penetrating shot?

Methodical Shadowstep Mixed Cold Imbuement

I use a similar build except I use rapid fire as well as penetrating shot, as I’ve found the single target damage on rapid fire has higher dps when there is just a single target.

Hahaha I know... I'm sick of it too. I imagine when they re-enable edgemaster's with the updated percentages, I will have a final form build that will allow me to just play the game and not have to redo my paragon, aspects and skills every other day.

When you are using all 3 Imbuments, ahve you considered using the Alchemist aspects?

idk if you'll see this, but what are your keybinds? twistingblades i never got killed with 'move/interact' bound on m1 but here it keeps killing me, are you using a 'force move' key at all? thanks

Condemnation? I recommend it in my build. I believe it's very nice to have.

Been running shadow step and one of the traps with my pen shot build. Only poison/shadow imbuement. Poison trap for PVP/Death trap for PVE. Was clearning WT4 dungeons at level 62. The shadow step boots give you 2 charges and if you get 2 max evade charges you can essentially reset the fight at will. If you're struggling with bosses and not being able to get away from then go for a dash configuration.

I love that build, but I've noticed that (for myself at level 95) focusing on isolating my damage into 2 categories (imbuement damage & vulnerable damage) my numbers are skyrocketing. My video tomorrow I'm excited for.

@@Valuedx I've done a lot of experimenting and crit damage/core damage/crit imued damage/vulnerability damage are the most valid PVE stats. + to close damage is seriously underrated for PVP. You can use shadowstep to gap close, poison trap for knockback/damage reduction, and unleash a nasty penshot on targets. Anyone that isn't gear/specced for PVP will usually be a one shot. I still need the utility the other abilities provide because I'm not high enough level to focus solely on damage.

The paragon is the same of the last build? same for bonus? we just need to swap aspects?

Im using triple imbue with tb only lvl 76 rn. Also using combo points and i do toms of dmg. Gotta play carefully va the bloated guys tho. I really eant an armory so i can try pen shot without having to go through the skill points and paragon again….just make me pay the gold to switch it

I use this build since lvl 55, now i am 78, i saw that with Puncture the mobs clusters tend to approach very fast în the "close zone" and i switched to forceful arrow into the knockback and i see that îs working very well awswell( putting the first vulnerable minion inside the cluster and shooting at 3 combo really leaves the zone clean

Only downside to using Forceful Arrow is how slow Crossbows fire, and having a Crossbow is crucial for Penetrating Shot due to the massively increased vulnerable damage as well as significantly higher base damage overall. Puncture fires exceptionally fast which lets you build C3 extremely quickly.

@@cosmicfox5671 you are right but i compensate with Rapid Aspect, and 15 % atack spd on evade, this alloes me to kite, control the clusters and mantain a safe distance during the fights

oh, i never noticed that it is disabled - edgemaster, I was following your old guide and trying to check the d4 planner, and read about edgemaster being disabled but I dont seem to understand what is going on, so I did go ahead and created an edgemaster weapon finally after getting some materials only to know now that is it going to be a waste. They should have put an ingame info or put an update to disable/greyed out the edgemaster aspect option to avoid newbie players on creating new ones. Also if you have an existing edgemaster weapon - they could have added a tooltip or somesort, or at least an ingame notice like those MMORPGs. This made me mad coz I wasted materials on an aspect that is not working. Now I feel bad using my newly created edgemaster weapon.

Stronger is a hard question. They shine in their own aspects. I think the two best builds personally are Twisting Blades (trapper variant) and Penetrating Shot rogue build (with the perfect build)

i didn´t even noticed Edgemaster has been removed :D i´am using the "old" build from u but chnaged the shadowimbument to rapidfire because killing a boss was still quite hard for me. Maybe u can give it a try and share your opinion about this. I like playing with rapid fire and pen. shot because u can melt bosses so fast :D

Worth it competitively? (for the best build option) no. Cool option? Heck yeah. I think that imbuement on Rain of arrows makes the ability so fun. If you do that though, there's a build path you have to follow with cooldown reduction on your amulet & helmet, and preparation as your specialization. It's a rain-of-arrows focused cooldown reducing build. I haven't tested it enough to make a video on it yet though :(

@@mysticalcrimson7789 My hopes is that Blizzard seriously changes the item system. The problem right now with the rogue is that Crossbows (for just about every build) are just the best in slot because they guaranteed roll Vulnerable damage.

I'm in doubt between rapidfire and pen shot, which one do you think is more competitive?

Pen shot in my opinion. But rapid fire is viable with certain configurations, it just feels clunky to me.

You can start with this build when you are comfortable imprinting, but I would recommend making sure you have Trickshot Aspect somewhere on your gear before running it. It's very important to have Trickshot because it creates this beautiful AoE synergy in the build. So to answer, if you're not planning on imprinting anything: twisting blades may work better. But, if you can afford imprints: this build is awesome.

Imo using Shadowstep is good but not on ranged build. Using it with puncture makes you literally melee rogue with a bow while melee core skills and traps are still better.

I will be making an updated version like I mentioned in the video, I'm just waiting for Blizzard to finally make an official statement about the state of Edgemaster's so I don't have to keep updating the build guide.

I feel like ice imbuement is not as good shadow and posion, so maybe swap that out with death trap or shadow clone. or maybe im missing some stuff.

shushh... later bliz will nerf this too. I running mother embrace(core hits 5 or more targets instant refund rss )+word of hakkan ( ulti triggers all 3 imbuement & +3 to all imbuement) instant delete final boss or huge boss packs. Also with skyhunter bow 100% crit on 1st hit with 3 passive exploit passive. Basically just run around and with imbue penetrates instant delete mobs and still full energy.

Is this softcore?

From what I've seen, there were a few builds that could abuse edgemaster's aspect so they're technically disabling a 'bugged aspect'. Leave it to the community to break the game with builds haha. That's my favorite part of diablo is seeing what disgusting combinations we can find.

Blizzard made a pretty good game… and then they started nerfing everything in sight and ruined a good portion of it.

Instead of nerfing...why not build another tier?🤔

Haha there are rumors!

Bros don’t go for this build, I tried with everything perfectly crafted and it is not effective. I am 10 lvl lower that this and still push level 45 nightmare dungeons with Death Trap, this is just plain better. Do not waste your resources, is it simply not effective, all fun and games until you have an Elite Pack with the immune circle and you have to go close range.

I would like you to add me on discord if you will, and show me your set up. This build is very powerful. I'm at level 95 and pushing very far with this build. Doing nightmare dungeon tier 55 (enemies are 109 level) - 14 levels over me.

i dont like this build, to much running away.

The gameplay in this video is while I’m XP farming. If you’re doing NM dungeons for XP it’s most efficient to do a tier that sets enemies 3 levels above you. But hey, whatever helps you sleep at night.
