It's a huge thing to get adopted as a teen girl, to trust stange people with a foreign language and leave the country with them into an unknown future. And it's a huge thing to let doctors do a big surgery in the face/mouth. Penelope, you took on a lot of very long journeys at an age, other kids fight with their parents about sneakers or cry about a pimple on the nose. Not many of us have experienced only one oft those journeys. You can be proud of yourself and everything you achieve! I hope there will be no complications on your long recovery and any pain will stand behind in respect of your braveness. And if you ever ask yourself "why me?"........ Because you are strong, you are good and you are worth it, you deserve to have a wonderful life!

I used to get bullied on my looks but I've always said "I was born like this." If someone asks me if I would Change my look I would say "this is how God made me, if you change my look your changing God's work and I like who I am.

I'm a mom and my daughter will be 29 on May 18th and her name is Katy and my son Patrick is 27 he will be 28 Sept 6th 2019 And I'm a grandma too. Your so Brave and you are always smiling everytime I watch the blogs. I love all the videos seeing you all and your Mom and Dad are such amazing wonderful people. You are all such amazing kids. You are all so kind and loving to one another. Im 50 years old and I love being a mom and grandma.

I had a cleft palate when I was born. The surgery was able to be done when I was just 2/3. Later as an adult I choose to get surgery for a tune-up...omg..i would have never chosen to do it had I known recovery is harder the older you are. Mak2rs mr sad when I hear about others that do not have the same privilege to get surgery when they are young. I am so grateful i had access to healthcare

I myself also have a cleft palate and a collapsed right nostril, have had 11 surgeries to try and correct my teeth and pállate along with nose. Watching this made me relive those surgery days. Stay strong kiddo, you have very loving parents. God bless.
