Pencil drawing time lapse - 'In My Silence' by Jono Dry
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
A time lapse from the studio.
'In My Silence' is a surreal, photorealistic pencil drawing. It took eight weeks to complete.
This drawing was such a pleasure to work on; it seemed to flow so easily. We are told to constantly push ourselves, that discomfort is good, that it promotes growth. While this is true, it also creates the idea that when we are comfortable, we become stagnant. This drawing reminded me that it’s okay to seek comfort, to enjoy the process, and to return to the familiar.

I'm a huge fan of your work. I discovered you when I got into charcoal and graphite pieces. I work on a lot of pieces and your pieces are such an inspiration to continue with this medium. Thank You for sharing your talent with the rest of the world.
Theres nothing more enjoyable than seeing an artist being passionate with what they do
Its addictive isnt it? To be able to time travel while sitting still. Getting lost in another world. Another dymention. Sitting down at 6am and dont look up until 9pm. Forgetting to eat, forgetting that the rest of the world exists around you. This is the power and peace of an artist. It's why I love to draw and paint. Watching you was beautiful.
"This drawing reminded me that it’s okay to seek comfort, to enjoy the process, and to return to the familiar." I believe I would like to use this as my mantra and my muse for a short bit if I may. To your credit of course.
Although I’m not a huge fan of Surrealism, the work of this artist is truly extraordinary, the realism is beyond comprehension! I think he’s another Leonardo for sure 🇨🇦
How a human can do this by hand is unbelievable! It's so perfect that it make it look like a print.
I’ve been drawing for 61 yrs but you absolutely shock me with your art!

How come you are so underated when you spend most of your time doing one big project. Your drawing style is the most realistical.
The result of his incredibly fascination is truly a work of art.
I'm crying right now 😢 It's so beautiful
Dudes actually amazing, he has given me inspiration to dive into hyperreal surrealism. A complete inspiration😇😄
This guy's understanding of textures, composition and shading is on god levels.
"it’s okay to seek comfort" - Right! Art should be fun and satisfying. I get so discourage because the struggle is real. It's exhausting to try to create a "good" piece of art but stumble all the way through. You, my friend inspire me! Thanks
I was born and tears were drawn, thank you for the impression.☺️
I’m moved in a way I can’t exactly put into words. Watching this felt like falling in love and healing at the same time. Thank you for sharing this with the world. It definitely came into my life right when I needed it.
I'm not even exaggerating. You ARE the best artist in the world
I really love that you use natural sunlight to see the paper instead of artificial light. Idk it's just more soothing and soft to the eye but at the same time can show as much detail
i at a loss of words to explain how incredible this is! literally out of words!
The best artist i ve ever seen in youtube. I can watch your whole video without skipping a single second and one thing i dont like about this video is it ends.
It amazes me how artists can visualize what they wanna draw and contruct it so perfectly i could never do that at all
One of my main problems when drawing is actually the size of the drawing itself. Usually my drawing becomes less precise (not to mention twisted) when I draw the bigger ones. Now this, this is incredible.
Beyond anything I even thought possible with just a pencil
thank you for your videos, I've just started watching them.. I'm blown away by your talent and feel very inspired to be more adventurous with my own work. You are a very unique artist.
thanks for putting back my passion in playing football again
There is nothing more satisfying than getting your hands dirty while doing something you love. Love your artwork from the Philippines 🇵🇭
I usually listen to music while I work, but there's just something so relaxing about the way a pencil scratches a surface. The rainstorm in the background made this video all the better audibly too. great work!
Seeing one of your videos for the first time made me fall in love on how you make your magnificent pieces of art. I am an aspiring artist and I get to learn new things from your videos. Glad KZread recommenced your channel. ❤️
How is Jono not like the most famous person on the damn planet?!?! I am blown away and in such awe.
Simply put you are the reason a started drawing. You saved my life. Thank God.
PERFECT 💯 YOUR ART IS PRICELESS ❤️❤️
Just about to start my sketching today but needed a bit of inspiration. Luckily this just came up. Love your work! This video could've been 3x as long and I'd still love every second.
An absolute masterpiece.
The patience he possessed was also incredible, I wish I have this extreme level of patience when it comes to drawing. This was truly a masterpiece! 😻

I have the same drawing style as you and I hope I can draw as good as you, I even wetted my paper before seeing your channel. Of course ur much older than me (I’m 11) but if I could post on KZread I wish you could see it😞. The moral of the story is you’ve inspired me to keep going and try my best. I usually take a YEAR for 2 pictures nonstop. I love drawing though and hope I can succeed with my art. You are truly an inspiration for beginners! Love your channel

does anybody know what the second song, starting at about 6:18 is? It's just as gorgeous as this drawing, and it's driving me nuts trying to figure out what it is. I already listened to Devotion by Skies Speak and that's not it, it's the first song in this video.

Absolutely Breathtaking work!
So I'm the only one that thinks it's wack that this man drew the outline, and filled in the background, seemingly without any construction lines or anything?
