Penang to Singapore by Bus: Crossing the Second Penang Bridge

I decided to take the bus from Penang to Singapore, rather than fly. My bus set off from Georgetown at night, and we crossed the Second Penang Bridge within an hour of departure. This bridge, also known as the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge, is the longest bridge in Malaysia and even the entire Southeast Asia with a length of 24km. It took around 10 minutes to cross the bridge, and there were hardly any cars travelling in our direction since it was so late at night. We passed a short cable stayed section lit up with transitioning lights. After we have crossed the bridge, we passed an IKEA which could be reached by taking the first exit we find. Shortly afterwards, we arrived the toll plaza. The entrance to the North South Expressway, or the Lebuhraya Utara Selatan, is just down the road from the toll plaza. The road forks to allow you to enter the northbound or southbound sides of the expressway. You can bear left to head north to Butterworth and ultimately Thailand, or bear right to head south to Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and ultimately Singapore.
It was slightly rainy that night, so please excuse the water droplets on the window.

It surely a little bit shorter than HK Zhuhai Macau Bridge then. But feel like 25 kilometres long is quite long then.

Thanks. It is a wonder what this suction cup mount can do! How did you come across these videos, by the way?

@@kylohk I love highways and bridges especially at night so while I was surfing, your video popped up on my feed. It's a keeper and I wished it was longer.

Were you on the front seat. If YES, must be quite tiring holding the camera all the way

Yes, I was on the front seat. But no worry, I have found a way to mount my camera onto the window.
