@@MegaWunna In Finland we have "saappaanheitto world championships". Saappaanheitto = "throwing a boot" as long as you can. It originates from my native country of Finland. It would be fun to see it in the Olympics.

Taking the ' keep a forward movement ' rule to the extreme. As a lifelong ice hockey player and fan, I find this sport entertaining but also disturbing. Ill go watch some gameplay other than a shootout to make my mind.

fun fact It was in 1968 the first floorball match was ever played which took place in Sweden. We swedes call floorball "innebandy" which means in bandy since it's played indoors without the ice. So basically it's a land form of bandy played indoors.

I always took my pens like Salo did here, I hate the slow kind of pens in floorball.. XD

In high school phys ed when everyone wants to play ball hockey, but the school thinks sticks are dangerous, so they make you use those cheesy plastic sticks and ruin all the fun.

As a PE teacher, I can tell you that its not a good day when I kid loses an eye to a hockey stick. Even while playing dodgeball, I have had kids almost losing eyes after getting hit in the face while wearing spectacles. Thats right, spectacles! So, we have to take special precautions for safety.

Ya same here, using these woulda been considered ridiculous by us kids when I was 6 because we were already using hockey sticks. We’d be like wtf is this junk? And here we are 40 years later and they have paid professional floorball players and people on YT backing the sport. Bahahahaha IT’S PURE TRASH and I’m being nice.

Floorhockey is so fun to play, but it looks ridicukous 😆

Come on if this sport has the same public than soccer, maybe this is the third or fourth league but this is not bad the stickhandling and the goalkeepers

Players try to trick the goalies and fail 90%, everyone who took a heart and actually shot scored... It's the same in every sport with a goalie. If it is 1on1 and he can shorten down the angle you lose the advantage as fielder because his body suddenly covers the whole goal instead of only half.

They only have to roof it and 90% of the time, the goalie isn't even close to saving it

- Shootout rules need to change..maybe a time limit etc. - Goaltender should be allowed a stick and bigger gloves of some sort.... A few changes would make this already really fun sport, much better.

@@weatherwatchTX I sincerely doubt that lol, no floorball goaltender would ever want a stick or larger gloves. Most top goaltenders don't have any gloves at all since bare hands give your more control/feel. A stick would get in the way 98% of the time.

not boring at all, it is super exciting because the crowd is so close to the action and they sub off and on very frequently so the plays are always changing

Because this sport is easier and cheaper, the ball is very light so you can do a lot of tricks that you couldnt do with a puck

They can have gloves if they want but most pros chose not to since you want to be able to grip the ball easier. And if you think it's easy to score you are wrong, the ball is a lot bigger then for example a hockey Puck so it don't slip in as easily

It's like comparing american fotball with fotball, or padel with tennis etc. When I was young I played floorball instead of hockey bc it was alot cheeper and less time taking hobby.

@@skihck If you had access to this rink, you could play hockey. Granted, sticks are more expensive than they used to be, but if you have a pair of roller skates and a parking lot/rink/schoolyard, etc., you can play roller hockey. Even floor hockey without skates beats this.

It is a friendly tournament, so players probably tried to do some trick shots etc, shootouts in professional games seem way more intense

This is stupid. When in the game can you slow down and pretend there are no other players out there to check you? The point of a shootout is to recreate a break away. So at what time does a guy basically stop on a break away? They need to have a player start 15 feet behind the shooter and have him run after the shooter and try to take the ball away.

Only cringe here is idiotic north americans that can't believe their eyes that the world doesn't circulate around them. Other countries have other sports. You literally have no idea what you are talking about. A stick would be horrible for the goaltenders in floorball because it would make them slower. A shot in floorball is much faster than in ice hockey which is why most don't even use gloves.

Way worse. This is for people who dont have money for hockey and are lazy to play ball hockey in rain or freeze. Or simply are afraid of physical game. But if this is the sport which attracts children more that those two others, we should support it. Still better than nothing.

​@@perzelo There is so much padding in hockey that there is no reason to be afraid. As a floorball goalie after every game my whole upper body is filled with bruises after countless shots. Can't tell the same as a hockey goalie. Tell me how that isn't physical. Sweden and Finland come with one of the best hockey players. They all have their history with floorball as well. It's great training whether you play hockey or not.
