So I’ve had my Peloton for a little over a year now and have done about 500 rides and hundreds of strength and stretches as well. I have to say I don’t recall any instructor talk politics in their classes. I’d love to know in which classes or instructors you heard political talk?

I have loved your updates! I have been working out with the Peloton app on my own treadmill, but I am hoping to get the bike or new tread soon.. I really enjoy just a few of the instructors and the workouts. The tread bootcamps are my absolute favorite, I love the strength too!

I’m loving your content lately! First of all, your hair looks beautiful. I also love my peloton. I appreciate your viewpoints on the instructors. That is the beauty of having so many coaches to choose from. There is something for everyone. I personally haven’t heard anything politicized in classes I’ve taken, so I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with that. That would make me mad too. In addition to the clean instructors you mentioned, Sam Yo and Hannah Marie Corbin also are clean instructors who don’t use bad language and explicit lyrics.

Thanks for this video! We just recently got one and I didn’t know the app was included with the membership, so huge thanks 😉 Also it’s so nice that you shared the instructors that you like because there are so many of them and I absolutely agree that there are definitely ones that are not for me. Thanks for your honest review.

I agree on the instructors. I think of all I have a total of 5 I’m willing to do without headphones just in case my kids walk in. Makes me sad, but the workouts are soooo good and it’s so helpful to have the bike here in South Florida on days where a mid day workout is my only option.

Totally agree with your review of Peloton! I got mine in March and sometimes it is hard to overlook some of what they endorse. I also found that there are certain instructors I just can't listen to as well. The UK instructors have become some of my favorites because they focus more on the workout and less of the theatrics. Great video!

I always appreciate your honesty. This past week I got 2 free months of the Peloton app. I went onto 2 different workouts just to see how they were and I was like 🤷🏻‍♀️. I wasn’t feeling the music, instructor and I just chalked it up to me being 48 and not into what younger people are doing (🤦🏻‍♀️ boy, I sound old. When did I turn into my mother 😜). I don’t have a cycle but I do have a treadmill. Maybe I will give the treadmill workout a try. I am a little worried now about trying a strength training workout since I gained weight and got out of shape. Something to work up to. Have you ever done Beachbody 21 dat fix? How do you think they compare?

Thanks very much this is a really helpful video! May I ask would you recommend a peloton to someone trying to get back into fitness? We are just starting out with making some changes and I am finding your fitness videos so encouraging! I’m not sure if the workouts would be too hard for a beginner? I am currently doing 1 workout a week with a PT which is great but I need to add in more workouts at home. My husband is not keen on the price of the peloton though! Thanks 😊

Hi Ashlee. Great review. Thanks! I wondered if I could ask you a fitness related question? I’m currently trying to lose weight and build muscle. I’m considerably overweight. I also have major energy issues and was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome some years ago. I got a personal trainer a few weeks ago, and now I feel exhausted. I enjoy working out, but just feeling too tired to do the other things in life. On top of that, I’m struggling to do planks. He’s insisting that I do planks. I can just about do 30 second planks on my own and then he pushes me to do longer when he’s with me. My form is not good when he does that. I’m starting to dread working out now. Just the fatigue and the dread of planks! He saves them till the end when I’m most tired, so I’m dreading them all through the workout. I’ve told him how I feel, but he still insists. Any thoughts Ashlee? I feel so weak and truly exhausted. I’m on 1700 cal, but still struggling not to overeat most days. I feel out of control, but I got a trainer to try and regain control. Please. Any help would be so appreciated. I have two kids with special needs, so I want to take better care of myself! 😔

I just bought a used Peloton for $800. Got it all hooked up and did 1 ride so far. I plan on riding one day, then doing weights the other days... I think I could get hooked to the leaderboards feature as I can get a bit competitive. THanks for sharing!

In one if your earlier videos about the peloton I thought you mentioned something about a “performance” ride? Basically it was a benchmark for you beginning? What ride was that? Also do you have a softer seat recommendation or do you just ride with the original seat? I just got one and am LOVING it so far!!

Hi Ashley, Love this video! I have had the Peleton app for a little over a month and am so happy with it. I have a question for you…Do you recommend stretching before or after a workout? I recently did a 10 min yoga video followed by 20 min of strength and I have never been so sore in my life. Not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing? Like it hurt to walk for a full week. That experience has made me question if I should stretch before or after a strength workout. Thanks for any advice!

This is super helpful, I've been thinking about getting a peloton treadmill or bike for the last 2 years, I just can't commit to it for sure. I've got the app, I've tried a few strength workouts and have liked them. The bootcamps look so fun, too. That's the main reason I've considered a bike or treadmill is the bootcamps lol Another thing I struggle with is some of the instructors are just too much, like too loud or crazy and I can't deal with that. I don't like corny workouts lol, so I've been weeding through to find the ones that aren't annoying.

I don’t have any peloton equipment but I do have a regular treadmill. I tried the treadmill boot camp based on your recommendation and loved it! Yes, I feel the same about some instructors. I don’t mind the cursing in some songs but some of them are really vocal about their ideologies, it’s hints here and there, just this week I had this experience and I wasn’t very pleased so I know exactly what you mean. All that being said I do love peloton and think it’s an extremely convenient and effective way to get a workout.

I am right there with you. That was my main reason for NOT purchasing one. I love fitness and am very athletic and considered it for the snow days here where I live- but this was a no go for me. I come to workout and focus on my health- not politics, horrible music, or profanity.
