Pellet Waggler Fishing For Carp

Спорт

Match Fishing Magazine's Joe Carass runs you through the awesome pellet waggler technique. A great fishing tactic for the summer months when carp are the target, be that in a pleasure session or when on an important match.

I've done this on my club water which holds loads of F1's as well as commons mirrors and chub, caught all 4 species on this method. I used smaller pellets, 4mm both for feed and on the hook I used a Drennan Red Range 11ft pellet feeder rod and a Daiwa Sweepfire reel. It worked very well! I'll be trying it again next time out

It really all depends on what fishery your on and conditions being the main focus. Obviously fishing the pellet waggler you don't want a strong wind in your face but in match situations you cannot control this. That being said if you have the wind in your face and it's pellet waggler weather then you will need a bigger 8 to 12 ml pellets and obviously halibut pellets are heavier than course pellets but course pellets are alot lighter but to make course pellets heavier just frequently keep filling a separate bait box and running a wet hand through them to take on a little water making them heavier. On other days with the wind off your back you can use course pellets in 4 ml as you really want to fish to where you can feed your pellets easily. Course pellets are normally the choice of pellets as they don't sink as fast as a high oil pellet. I hope this helps 👍

+Match Fishing Films How come you say the main line in pounds and the hook length in mm? Similar thing with rods and poles. You buy rods in feet, ie 12/13/14/ft And poles/landing net poles in metres. No wonder people get confused!
