The Pelican™ 1700 Case is unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical resistant and corrosion proof. These are some of the features of the Pelican™ 1700 Case that offers total; protection for your equipment. It is made of Ultra High Impact structural copolymer that makes it strong and durable. Its exclusive 1/4" (6.4 mm) neoprene o-ring and ABS latches seal perfectly and includes an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure.

Nice case to transport my saltwater fly rods but it does not have the newer "push button latches" feature or upgrade available, nor does it have an ID holder like their "Air" cases for airline travel tags. I will have to purchase an aftermarket plastic id holder and use some type of heavy-duty glue to affix an ID holder.
Is this model covered under the lifetime warranty or is it the same 1 year warranty as the vault model? 🥃cheers🍻
I want to use it for a couple laptops :)
what does it weigh?
Are they airline friendly? Less that 62 inches overall? The fixed handle worries me. The specs online come in right under 62 inches, however is the handle included?

Just purchased this to use as a travel tool case (for work) and will need to check it. The exterior width is just under 62 inches and based on their specs. the exterior width is 3 inches more than the interior width, so i am thinking the handle is included because the outer shell can't be 3 inches extra by itself, but add the handle and 3 inches make sense. Got mine on amazon so if not it will get sent back

THAT GUY DAVE Please let me know when you receive it! I’m not trying to pay United Airlines $200 extra each way just for an oversized case, it’s ridiculous!

@@allstarnb1 Just got mine. Its just at 62 inches with the handle. 39 + 17 + 6 is what I measured it at. Their specs are slightly lower, but I included the wheels (which is why i got 39) and the hinges (which is why i got 17). Their measurements were 38.12 x 16.00 x 6.12. Its will fly no problem. My other bag (nanuk 960) looks much bigger and has never been measured.

big green case with foam, yeah and this one is also a case, it has also foam inside. yeah.
