I still really think that Peggy's version is the version that I like best. While I really like the Jazz feel of Amy Irving's version, I just don't care for the breathy, sexy way she sung it. I much prefer the blunt and cheeky way Peggy sings it. It feels more appropriate for the song, like she's pitying him. "Tsk tsk. When are you gonna get it right?"

You're sitting down, wondering what it's all about You ain't got no money, they will put you out Why don't you do right, like some other men do? Get out of here and get me some money too? If you had prepared 20 years ago You wouldn't be a-wanderin' out from door to door Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
