@Dr.Unsteady, That’s only possible if someone prefers to use aluminum foil to avoid having the grease catching fire if they purchased beef ground up there at store, otherwise it’s better to purchase frozen beef patties in a bulky box from the freezer section and avoid the ground beef ground up at the store itself. Besides, the frozen patties thrown onto a charcoal grill don’t need the aluminum foil since most of the grease was already removed before they were packaged.

I love how King of the Hill throws a moral in here, but it's not the moral that most people would have gone for. The easy, low-hanging moral would have been to teach Hank that he needs to respect everyone's opinion because everyone has different taste and they can't all be like him. But they don't go there. Hank is being ridiculous, yes, but instead they teach the importance of standing by your spouse. Peggy realizes that to her it's just a burger (it's not really that important to her), but to her husband, his career and identity are tied in to propane. So she puts his feelings above hers to make him happy. While hilarious, this show is honestly deeper than people give it credit for.

A charcoal grill sucks if you don’t know how to use it right. I remember one time a charcoal left a black burnt crust on my meat, and it was amazing. The answer is to reverse sear or sear the meat and get far superior taste than propane. I also don’t know if there is a hybrid of gas/charcoal grill.

There is a way to get the rich smoky flavor with the clean burning flue of propane. Just add wood pellets wrapped in aluminum foil. (there are more methods to this, you can look them up yourself)
