There were so many great runs this SGDQ, but this one was genuinely one of the most engaging and exciting! Sometimes it's hard to tell what parts of a speedrun are difficult/impressive, but Peggle is so intuitive that's not a problem. Thanks to Britsha and the commentators for a great run!

I'm the guy backstage who put "that's never happened before" on the timer after the software finally unfroze. I legitimately got a hug from my producer for that and I can't stop laughing 😂😂😂

I really wish colorblind mode was activated for this run. It puts a triangle on the green pegs and a cross on the purple peg, to help differentiate them from the others. EDIT: I realized that glint shots (where the mouse cursor is aligned with the glint on a peg) can't be pulled off on green and purple pegs if colorblind mode is enabled. It would have been nice to have for many viewers, but speed is king.

Sorry 😟 There are glint shots (pixel perfect shots using the light reflection on the pegs), and since britsha doesn't normally use CB mode it could have affected his ability to hit those shots. We can certainly do some research as a community to see if any of them would be affected and if not, we can definitely try and use it in the future! I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless. ❤

Hey, I was the guy that ran this (I upload my runs to "britsha runs", in case you were curious). I personally don't use colourblind mode as I've tried running with it before, and it makes it a bit harder for me to see for all the shots i go for - definitely didnt want to make too many mistakes being here my first time. However, it may be worth considering in the future if we ever get to showcase Peggle again and our top runner Pnaha is actually partially colourblind and always plays in colourblind mode so you should definitely check him out if you want to see incredible Peggle speedrunning!!

100% there were several times where I was thinking he was purposely leaving oranges for later, then he would finish the level and it would still be there because it's wasn't orange, it was green. I can see the difference on the purples, but I absolutely need the color blind mode for the greens.

I haven't watched GDQ in a while and I have to say I like the new Layout choices they made. The Inclusion of Pronouns and the Audio indicator to know who's talking is super helpfull! Also I fucking love Peggle

The pronouns and audio have been around for a few years-both great additions. The audio indicator is really helpful for races so you know which screen you’re hearing (especially when someone takes the lead and it switches.

Especially with masks on, it’s nice not to need to watch for little body movements to see who’s talking

Great speedrun! I will say though that I was reminded of the old days with DrTChops and some of his runs (not sure if he still does) when I saw Ozvenom (on the left I believe) on the couch, they have very similar energy and look pretty similar

I used to play this game a lot on Xbox live. After beating the game, doing all the challenges and getting all the achievements I then began to play peg party. You play against 3 other players online and who ever had the biggest score after ten shots comes in first (no extra balls). You can pick up some good strats that you can apply to speed running.
