    Kaiba knowledged that they were a great duelist during their duel towards the end of Battle City. Kaiba isn't anywhere near the obnoxious jerk he is in the 4Kids dub in the manga. 4Kids would make most of his dialogue somehow douchey and would even add entirely new lines where there were no lines at all just so Kaiba has more oppertunities to be a dick for no reason. For instance, when Kaiba passes by them on the Kaiba Corp Battle City Blimp, there were no lines, just Kaiba silently gliding by, but in the dub they add the line "Winners First!" to make him look obnoxious. It's funny because Kaiba didn't win any tournaments lately, including before or after his recent losses.

    Eternal Purposes But Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things. “Heaven forbid, Lord,” he said. “This will never happen to you! -Matthew 16:22- Jesus knew exactly what was in His future. It came as no surprise to Him. He knew who would betray Him, He knew He would rise from the dead, and He knew exactly when these things would happen. And at Caesarea Philippi, He began to tell His disciples what He was facing. Matthew’s Gospel says, “From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead” (Matthew 16:21) In the original language, Jesus used a word for “killed” that could be translated “murdered.” Peter couldn’t believe that Jesus was saying this. In Peter’s mind, this simply couldn’t happen. It was commendable that Peter was truly concerned about the Lord. But he was missing what Jesus was trying to say. And he went too far when he took Jesus aside and “began to reprimand him,” saying, “Heaven forbid, Lord. . . . This will never happen to you!” (verse 22) Interestingly, the word translated “reprimand” in this verse carries the idea of someone in a position of authority rebuking a subordinate. That is the way Peter began to reprimand Jesus. And the language implies that he did this repeatedly. Imagine it for a moment. Jesus had just made a statement about His impending suffering and death. He obviously was in anguish over it. And then Peter took an authoritarian position and repeatedly began to reprimand Him. Peter had lost touch with reality. Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s” (verse 23) We have to love a guy like Peter, because he was so utterly human. He said what many of us probably would have said in such a situation. He was impulsive, impetuous, and hotheaded but also very honest, courageous, and intelligent. And perhaps he was the most accessible of all the followers of Jesus. May God help us to trust Him when He doesn’t do things the way we think He should and when we’re tempted to say, “Why, Lord?” God is thinking of His eternal purposes. We can only see what will benefit us in this moment. But God is looking at the big picture. And He knows what He’s doing. It is during these times that we must trust Him, cast ourselves at His feet, and say, “Lord, I admit to You that I don’t understand. I don’t know why. But I thank You that You are in control.” There are a lot of things that will happen in life that we won’t understand. It is during those times that we must fall back on what we do understand: God loves us. And He is looking out for our best interests.

    Pegasus is the creator of all that game, he opinion is really important. Leon and Rebecca lost to Yugi and unlike them, Joey had a match with Yugi which he canonically won (confirmed by the author). Joey grew so much in a year since he played Duel Monsters, it's not surprising that he got this far when he gained more experience. Zane and Jaiden are from another generation later, it is unknown if Pegasus was alive or not at that time.

  • @tiffanyroberts6460

    @tiffanyroberts6460

    @@m.o.l.a6812 Pegasus also cheated in all but one of his duels so he’s not exactly an expert on actual skill. No that’s a lie it was never confirmed Joey won plus if anything Joey got worse as a duelist as the series went on, by the end his deck relied more and more on luck and chance to the point he even used that terrible dangerous machine type 6 card which is literally just a dumb luck card. Pegasus is literally in GX that’s where the line of him saying he thinks Joey is the 3rd best duelist comes from and his 4th and 5th place are Aster Phoenix and Jesse Anderson which again seems completely bullshit when characters like Jayden and Zane don’t make the list. As for Rebecca and Leon both their duels with yugi are questionable. Leon’s duel got hijacked by his brother and his golden castle card and Rebecca’s duel happened when she didn’t understand the heart of the cards and they never duelled again. If anything Rebecca and Leon aren’t in the list cause they only appear in seasons that didn’t happen in the manga despite the fact that in the anime they were clearly far superior duelists to Joey (he still didn’t understand how chaining cards worked in s5) and if all 3 had continued as pro duelists Joey would be lucky to be more then a footnote in their duelling careers. As Kaiba said he’s a 3rd rate duelist with a 4th rate deck and if you take out all his cheating and the show breaking rules for no reason Joey would be lucky to even make it past the first round. Literally watched season 1 the other day, if the show hadn’t rewritten the cards from how they play in the actual game Mai, Rex, Bones and Keith would’ve beaten Joey which is hilarious cause Joey actually should’ve beaten Yugi if he wasn’t an idiot. Time Wizard may be the most hacked game in the series after the living arrow, literally at no time in the show does Joey ever play it right or does it have consistent effects. Side note Joey literally wins his first 3 duels of s1 thanks to a card he gets given prior to the duel, that’s not skill that’s plot armour.

    Honestly though, I can't really think of a time Joey cheated, if you ignore things like summoning in face up defense which I think we can assume is just legal in the anime version of the game, Joey is probably one of the only good duelists that you can expect not to TRY and cheat, Atem and Yugi basically coach each other in every duel and Kaiba will absolutely duel you under duress if it's a day ending in y or even put HIMSELF under duress if things are dire enough.

    To be fair, given how shitty Joey's deck was and how he never Paid2Win (Kaiba) and Cheated (Yugi) he was just lucky and rng based, but he still made the absolute most out of nothing. If some random kid walked into your locals and just started trashing world class duelists with a deck that runs Swordsman of Fucking Landstar got 3rd place. Then just decided to go to a regional and knock out people who have top 8'd at worlds with that same deck only to get to top 4 at the regional and fall asleep declaring your final attack against the person who is thought to win the whole tournament because you are a child and it's been a long day. I'd say that kid was something special and very smart at doing something card value wise with what he was given.

In the manga, Yakou took over KaibaCorp's Duel Server and kidnaps Tea to use her body as a temporary host to vessel the soul of Pegasus (he's dead in the manga). Thus, Yugi and his friends have to ascend to the top of the tower, fighting duelist mercenaries (known as Card Professors) along the way. There are quite a lot of archetypes introduced here. He is also able to unlock "heart of the cards" hack by sheer willpower alone where as yami yugi does use the millennium puzzle to do it even unknowingly. With the right hax cards he could easily beat kaiba and maybe even yugi, but he was never given the right cards. The entire series he used the most trash decks possible and still almost beat marik. I think he speaks about Atem because the photo yes yugi is better than Atem but i think He mean Him or He thinks when me say that the one is are 3000 years Old Pharao and the Other one are child that Getting possesed by the Pharao Kaiba don't have any interest because no Pharao so yea Maybe He just dueling Good duelist or to op for gx i mean would you like See asta destory joey on are duel The point is no one can beat one of them so its would be are bad choice to make are Duell their can't win me mean would you belive that (no season 5 or 4 jaden ) can defeat seto or joey

    @@AretruehazbinFrom what i heard, Dark side of dimensions is a sequel to the manga, being in a different continuity from the anime. Which makes sense, in the anime Kaiba aceptes Yugi as the best duelist after watching his duel with Atem. In the manga Kaiba was not there to watch the duel, which is why he was still obssessed with the Pharoh in the movie

    I mean even if It's Pegasus that say it I'am still amaze how many people can't understand the différence beetween a PERSONAL top and a RANKED one. That scene is just fan service, and they are mostly retired in GX anyway. Even if he's not the best duelist the number 1 rank pro at that time is the D Plus i love Anderson and cristal beats but that guy and futhermore in a point early in time at where it his shown dueling the first time is not even top student at the duel school, he lost, lost and lost, he's only win against he's what was supposed to be rival was when it was yubel with corrupted version. He's the Valentine of GX he can't be top 5

    That's straight up facts. You're the only one with proper research in those comments. Clearly a personal favourite list by Pegasus. Joey was supposed to be a pro duelist but the D, without using Plasma in an official duel ever was the world champion 10 years straight? Atem would be ashamed of Joey. The guy wasn't even invited in the GX cup in season 2 😅

    the reason they discredit joey is because he used to have a subpar deck and cards that rely on luck,still he was able to keep up with kaiba who could buy all cards he wanted and yugi who was able to topdeck any card he wanted,no god cards,no millenium items,but in the end he might have had the 3rd strongest kinda meta deck,first place going to rebeccas princess burn and 2nd going to kaiba

    I’m pretty sure Aster doesn’t have any magic either. Tier List for magic in this video goes as follows: A: Atem (Mr Destiny draw)>>>= Jesse (Mr I see monster spirits and can communicate with them). B: By virtue of insane wealth and has an expy of himself in Ancient Egypt = Kaiba. C: Joey and Aster. I imagine Joey is like Aster, but Joey doesn’t clean up for a duel. Where as Aster totally does.

    Bro the only dream there is was when Jaden was speaking with Neo Spacian Aqua Dolphin in the duel spirit world this was in episode 62 of the Sub then he duels the duel bot in the duel spirit world using some of the new neo spacians. After that he returns to the real world and has to gather the rest of the neo spacians, for example Neo Spacian Air Hummingbird and Neo Spacian Flare Scareb. Jaden after gathering all the Neo Spacians gets lost remember Jaden can speak to duel spirits and the neo spacians are all duel spirits. Jaden tries to make his way back to Duel Academy and in episode 67 of the Sub he makes it back in time to stop the duel between Alexis Rhodes and Aster Phoenix (thank god he did cause I didn't want to see my favorite female character Alexis Rhodes lose) Jaden challenges Aster Phoenix and every one watches Jaden win. Jaden wins by using Elemental Hero Flare Neos in combination with Calling Magic, Edo destroys Jadens set card which was calling magic now calling magic's effect activates allowing Jaden to set two more cards this triggers Elemental Hero Flare Neos' special ability it gains ATK for all spell and traps on the field. Elemental Hero Flare Neos' ATK rises to 3700 enough to destroy Aster's monster and drop his Life points to zero. Everything I speak about is from episode 60 to 68 of Yu-Gi-Oh GX Sub which is more reliable than the Dub, watch it for yourself.
