Pegasus Hobbies River Set Product Review

Here's my thoughts on the Pegasus Hobbies River Set.
I have to say, as a modular pre-painted river set for a wargames table, I'm really not that impressed but it does come at a budget.
Anyway, check out the video and then give me your opinions in the comments folks. .

ouch, I really like some of Pegasus' terrain bits, like the gothic buildings, chemical and power plant (mainly for ork conversions), and the hexagon/platformer packages. Scathing review of this product lol
That was my thought as well, I'm thinking of converting the short pieces (lava fall/cave entrance etc). Hopefully, I'll also be able to extend the length to a full 4' mate.
thanks for the advice!
Rivers should be darker in the middle, its deeper and theres less turbulence so the water is darker....

yep :-)
Pegasus usually produce high quality pieces, its rather disappointing really, the gale force nine was are Cleary worth the 5quid for the solid resin, and water effects. Got a video coming up for you Mel, you really have inspired me. Hope you see this comment :), I'm on the legion so you should be able to find my channel. Love you're work buddy. Love to see the gothic sets.
I'm with you on connector kits, I love them for conversion work but this river set was a serious let down compared to their other kits mate.
I'm not going to argue with you mate ;o)
You can use those green cutting mats to make roads and rivers. If you get a sanding belt and fix it to a strip of green mat, leaving extra width for texturing, the weight and flexibility of the mat keeps each piece flat on the table. Acrylic filler is slightly flexible so good for rivers. You can paint the road strips then put washes on then dry brush. Really quick easy way to make them any size and shape you need, and best of all no warping

zwicky93 I'd never considered cutting mates to be basing before, I'll have to play with that, thanks for the heads up

TheTerrainTutor They are a pigs arse to cut but I've found it worth the effort and as I said the weight and flexibility is really great at keeping them flat. Have fun playing around with the idea ;)
Don't know why you would do this but you could use magnets to keep them connected.

That's certainly doable and the hard plastic lends itself to it quite well, might give it a go mate
How wide across from riverbank to riverbank is this set?, I bought two sets for my own use and I’m gonna repaint them and add some bits to represent a frozen river for a Baltic Crusades campaign, I can’t find the width of the river listed anywhere, I’m going to buy a resin bridge and want to make sure it fits across the banks

I'd say 4 inches with an inch per bank mate
Do you know of any smaller river pre-painted sets? I am looking for a small one maybe a few inches wide. Thank you.
