►ABOUT THE PEACELOVE STORYTELLERS EVENT
On May 16th, 2019 the Peace of Mind Storytellers event brought together leaders
in the mental wellness space to share their stories and the work they are doing to
help create peace of mind in the world. The event featured a full day of compelling
storytellers, live performances, food, cocktail party, opportunities to meet the
speakers, and a lively atmosphere. The day was hosted at Rhode Island College,
with storytelling and breakout sessions in Sapinsley Hall.
Stories have the power to positively transform the way we think about mental health
which is why 100% of the proceeds from this event supports CREATORS, providing
life-changing expressive arts experiences to communities in need.

That was amazing. Awesome. I just became a PRSS and I know how you feel. My experience as a alcoholic/addict lead me to become certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist. I actually consider this a copping skill for my own being, and as well I am able to support the people who suffer addiction/alcoholism through their journey in their search for the hope they need and celebrate recovery along with us. Your awesome.

I'm actually working on becoming an #addictionpeerspecialist here in western Kentucky. I really want to help my fellow addicts so they know there is hope for them as there is for me!

Thank you for sharing your story & I genuinely appreciate everyone who’s willing to share it to help someone else get the help they need but after you start getting some years I feel like when you speak it should evolve. I have such a bad taste in my mouth from about recovery programs & meetings bc it’s the same thing every time..
