🐾 Today, we are shedding light on a distressing issue that has become a significant concern for us: the rising number of pedigree dogs being abandoned every month. On average, we rescue at least 30 pedigree dogs each month. And this is just one shelter in the city! These dogs, once beloved pets, are now discarded like unwanted trash. The reasons for abandonment vary, from behavioural issues and health problems to outgrowing their initial cuteness.
💔 Each of these dogs carries a story of hardship and resilience. Caring for these abandoned pets is not only a huge emotional burden but also a financial strain. On average, it costs ₹10,000 per month to provide food, medical care, and shelter for each dog. The expenses quickly add up with 200 to 250 pedigree dogs in our care.
🐶 The emotional trauma these dogs suffer from includes depression and other health issues due to their abandonment. Our team works tirelessly to rehabilitate them, providing the love and care they deserve.
🤝 We urge everyone to think carefully before bringing a pedigree dog into their home. Understand their needs and ensure you are ready for a long-term commitment.
