I may be wrong but I believe the correct term is hypotonia, not "hyper" Hyper is spasticity or overactive.and hypo is low tone...right??

Cute video. I do need to correct you on your description of her tone. She would have HYPOTONIA . I think that you may have confused tone and joint mobility. Low tone is hypotonia, and very loose joints is hyper mobility. Hypertonia is what is typically seen in a child with spastic CP.

Yes OT has and Aqua Therapy option. It's far and few between but it's such a blessing to know that is a thing if we need it. We go this morning and it is always Naomi's favorite.

Thanks for sharing this. We have now signed up for a family membership to the Y so I can work with Lucia in the pool. I noticed this video is from 2 years ago. Have you made a recent one to see progress and additional water activities. I am so thrilled to have found your channel! Lucia enjoys watching Naomi also! 💞

Hi, I'm also a Pediatric PT. I would just want to correct that it's hypotonia that is low in tone. Not hypertonia - which is increase in muscle tone. 😊

That's a great idea to spend time in a swimming pool when a kid needs to improve muscle tone. It looks like she likes it.
