Cool review. Looks pretty solid as an mp3 player. My boy isn't asking for a phone but keeps asking for an iPod. He actually loves the idea of just having music and nothing else. Since Apple doesn't make them anymore this seems to be the next best thing.

I'm curious what the real advantages of this are, over a cheap pre-paid phone? I'm guessing it has much better DAC? I'm sure the build quality is better. I looked into music players like this for my 11yo son not long ago, and for him I found a cheap prepaid phone was perfect. (Samsung A03) Price was cheaper, the device is nicer and more features, the sound quality works well enough for him, and actually the build quality is surprisingly good. I want to like these little dedicated Android MP3 players but I just fail to see them as a good deal. Would be excellent if you did a video on cheap prepaid phones as media players (like the A03, Moto G Pure, etc.) vs dedicated players like this.

It just depends on your needs, where I work we can't have our phones but they do allow this so that works in my situation:-)

@@Pondsisawesome124 good point! In my son's case he can't have a phone on field trips to take pictures, but he can have a dedicated camera. So now I understand why point-and-shoots are still a thing.

If you have a large music collection, a lot of the mp3 players will hold more music than a fon.

I can't buy the pecsu divided into installments, I can't find the tab to split the card.

When you say "some" that means. other files play fine? I suspect the file transfer or the original files may be or have gotten corrupted perhaps.

Sounds like corruption during the transfer to me. Maybe try to re-transfer?

I didn't try this but the player supports APK files on Android. Some good info here: www.lifewire.com/install-apk-on-android-4177185 Let me know if it works:-)
