Hi, John, thank you for including us in your video. Seeing and meeting you personally at El Cortez with Bigkats, Docs Gambling and Slot Massacre was the highlight of our Las Vegas trip last April. Mark and I have learned a lot from your group though we haven't been lucky so far this year. Last year I had 7 royals...4 in LV and 3 at our local casino, Rivers. John, great to see you back in action! No major gambling trips for me over the past few months because the weather can be hit or miss in flyover county. I hit up a local once a month for a promo, playing neg. 9/5 JoB. Anyway, grinding about 60K-70K CI in a day typically results in winning at least $1,000 in FSP. Recently, I was selected twice for a total $3,000 in FSP. This helps turns a neg. game into a positive. Some of the biggest competition is from electronic table games players. BTW AC over at the LVA was impressed with your play. He noticed no errors when he watched a video.Take care, your friend Mark.

Hi Mark, great to hear from you! That’s some pretty hefty FreePlay you got there and, yes, it certainly flattens the edge the casino has over us. Yes, I was thrilled that, Anthony Curtis, (one of my heroes) gave me a mention, especially since it was one of my subscribers, who brought it to his attention by winning from some of my advice. I do however, make errors & sometimes I do so on purpose, when I employ short term strategy based on diminished bankroll size near the end of a session. I had a really crazy session at Pechanga the other night, when the machine went berserk for 8 hours straight. I hit 24 Quads, 4 Aces twice, and 1 Straight Flush. It was all night long on the $2 coin denomination. No Royal showed up, but I took that $60 bankroll all the way to $3,005 & then cashed out off of $100,000 coin-in. I took the money & ran! Thanks for your comments, Mark!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

When I drew a Royal flush in Reno last November, I took yours and Andrew’s advice when not hitting in one denomination, I switched from.25 to .10 hit nothing went to .05 in two hands the Royal was dealt to me on a Hot Roll machine, no multiplier but was content with the Royal, when getting paid I asked a slot mechanic was this true, and he replied with a smile, and stated “whoever told you this is speaking the truth, the RDF , changes constantly, so just search and you’ll find it “.

I play mainly Triple line DDB , and since local Casino doesn’t have Hot Roll, been playing a lot of Ultimate X and hit my first Royal of the year last Wednesday, and a week before hit 4 4’s with a 12X multiplier , was excited actually shocked!🤩

@johnsworldofvideopoker In your honor, I went to my local on the 14th with some free play. Within 5 minutes and $30 into house money, got dealt 3 to the royal and the K and T came for a $4000 winner. Sent a text to my wife with the picture. She said Happy Valentines Day. I'm ever totally oblivious at 42 years old, but the royal was in hearts. How fitting for the day!

When you stay at a property on average how much coin in do you do a day? I'm at about 10k coin in on BP which doesn't get me to much at the off strip properties. I don't pay for rooms and food up to $150 a visit.

Every session is different and depends upon my goals for that trip, the size of my bankroll, the denomination size, the time frame that I have in which to do it, wether or not family is with me, and if the trip is about shows, restaurants, pools & spas, or if it’s purely for gambling. But putting all those variables aside, the casino wants to see 3-5 hours of play a day from you as a player, if you want consistent & continued comped rooms, restaurants, & spas through out the year. My “go to” coin denomination is the $2 coin on 8/5 Bonus Poker or 9/6 JoB ONLY. I average 1,000-1,200 hands per hour when I’m not filming for content & I’m on a solo gambling pursuit in Vegas. I would say that I put in 6-12 hours of play over a 2 day visit to Vegas. That equates to $72,000-$144,000 coin-in over a Vegas weekend. If I’m with family & friends, then it’s not necessarily a purely gambling trip and I may play only 3-6 hours total for a weekend trip. That equates to $36,000-$72,000 coin-in. Give the casino 3-5 hours of play a day at the 50¢, $1, & $2 coin denominations, and you won’t pay a dime in Vegas all year long. Welcome to a comped life.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

I've had pretty good luck staying as often as I want at South Point And Rampart playing at 7.5k to 10k a day coin in on .25 to $1 I like to play B.P. 3 and 5 hand.

Even at the 25¢ denomination, if you give the casino a minimum of 3 solid hours of play a day (5 solide hours would be much better), then the comps will continue unabated.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Hi Chris, I'm sure the sunglasses are lying in pieces on the road somewhere. I believe that I set them on the hood of the vehicle next to mine near the wipers & forgot all about them!😂 I may not make it to the Northeast this year, but rather, South Florida. However, if you & your buddies are coming out here to see the Buffalo Bills vs. the Chargers at SoFi, then I'm in on that one. Please let me know, & I'll pay for my ticket.🙌🙌🌎

It is very good advice to stick with only JOB or BP. Unfortunately I got suckered in to the higher 4oak payouts of DDB recently and have been consistently losing because the big hands are just not coming. 250 coins for 5's thru K's is nothing. You can lose that back within minutes during a cold streak playing dollars. If you're not hitting 400 or 800 coin hands in the normal 4-5 hundred a hand cycle, you're toast. You simply lose too much bankroll on the 1:1 2 pair machines. Had to re-evaluate and going back to JOB and BP. Not as much fun, but it's a heck of a lot better than fairly consistent big losses. I'm not a person that hits Royals frequently despite frequent play.

I look at all the volatile games one way, and one way only; the very “best” that a player can do on those games is “hope” to break even. But the reality is that it’s worse than that. If you play 8/5 Bonus Poker or 9/6 JoB exclusively, then you’ll start hitting more & more Royals (assuming that you’re well-practiced on a simulator that “warns on mistakes” so that you have what I call, “sloppy near-perfect” play). If you’ve only been playing DDB, then, that’s the reason you haven’t been hitting Royals. Get practiced-up on Bonus Poker (pay table must be: 400 on Aces, 200 on 2,3,4’s, 125 on 5-K’s, 10 on 2 pair), then ONLY play Bonus Poker. In 6-8 months you’ll be messaging me back that you’ve hit 3-6 Royals.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

The slumps do come around from time to time, so it’s good to take a break, perhaps pursue other hobbies that have been put off for awhile, etc. I take breaks all the time & fill the void with practice on a simulator, as well as other pursuits. There’s a lot of overpowering slot machines in there too, but that little corner is almost perfect for filming. They feature 8/5 Bonus Poker on 25¢, 50¢, $1, $2, & $5 coin denominations. There approximately 20 video poker/keno machines in there.

I had to turn the volume way down on the track so that you couldn’t really hear them. They were all the way across the room and screaming at the top of their lungs! Having fun, right on! Congratulations on hitting that Royal, Teresita. I usually start at the 50¢ coin denomination too and work my way up from there. I like the “2 to the Royal” hold because you expect nothing from it, but then it hits and it’s such a welcomed surprise! Even more so, when those happen on you’re on the $5 coin denomination. It happens…..from time to time…..I’m getting better & better at walking away when I’m up significantly by “reframing the win” in terms of my immediate goals such as paying off a debt, or upgrading something around the house. But I know what you mean, I’ve thrown a lot of them back in during my earlier years of playing. No biggy…..there will be other more significant wins for you & you’ll walk away….or go play the single line 5¢ & 10¢ denomination coins to “scratch the itch” but “not scrap the win”. You can do it.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Hi Marc, In the middle of the main floor (near the Boarding Pass Rewards Counter) there is a rectangular high limit area…just outside of it is a high limit bank of high limit machines that have a wide spread of coin ($2, $5, $10, $20) denominations. Also, many machines surrounding that middle floor high limit area are good. There is a brand new high limit room near the entrance to the pool area, and a high limit room near the Lotus of Siam restaurant that has good games at the bar near the table games. Also, staying with the lower volatility games like 9/6 JoB, 7/5 or 8/5 BP will help your bankroll last longer and thus bring you closer to hitting more Royal Flushes. Practice on a simulator will improve your game and help with the same. Good Luck!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Have you thabout dropping your bet when you see the machine isn't hitting, then going back to max bet after a couple trips or higher hits?

I will drop to a lower denomination, or scale up to a higher denomination, depending on whether the machine is taking my money, or giving me money. I don’t really do less than maximum coin bets, though. I’ll just max bet at a lower coin denomination, even if that means 25¢ coin denominations. Because at, Pechanga, we have 8/5 Bonus Poker on every coin denomination from 5¢ all the way up to and including, the $100 coin denomination. So dropping to a lower coin, denomination app, Pechanga, does not result in a loss of a good pay table. They have some of the best paytables in all of Video Poker. It’s only second behind Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Perhaps, I came off a little touchy but I had to lower the soundtrack all the way down to 5% to mask their screams. They were screaming & laughing wildly at the top of their lungs. You have no idea….they drove people out of the slots aisles around them. I’m all for a good time, and an occasional moderate scream of delight on a jackpot etc., and that’s is fine, of course, but they were screaming wildly on every spin of their slot machine. Had I not attenuated the sound track, everyone of my viewers would have complained about this video! Sheesh!!!😩🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

One time I had a flush, but it was also four to a royal. So I gave up the flush and got the royal🤣🥰

Great Job, Teresita. That's exactly what you're supposed to do in all cases with 4 to the Royal, except in one instance. If you have a pat Straight Flush (9, 10 J, Q, K) that also contains a 4 to the Royal, you keep & hold the Straight Flush. That is the only 4 to the Royal that you don't go for. In all other cases, you Always go for the 4 to the Royal. Thank you for bringing that up.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

I’ll stay all night on one machine that’s hitting 2 pair like crazy, along with a healthy mix of “bottom of the pay table hands” from the full house hands and others on down to the JoB hands. I actually bring that up in my next video. But if none of the above is happening, I bounce from machine to machine to machine until I find one that seems to be firing-off on the above described frequent hands.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

I actually had to “scrub” the sound track to minimize their screams from 100% volume all the way down to 5% volume level, or it would have destroyed the video. They weren’t “bloodcurdling screaming” at full volume because of a jackpot, they were just screaming to scream on every spin on the machine……unfortunately they drove other players out of the area.🤷🏻‍♂️🌎

the screamers always seem to scream when we're going through a bout of bad hands...😂

I don’t mind the fun, or squeals of delight on wins. However, in this case, there were 5 girls in their 20’s, drunk & screaming, at the top of their lungs on every spin on a penny machine driving other players out of the area. You can’t hear how obnoxious it was because I scrubbed the volume all the way down to 5% on the video. When “attention-seekers” literally disrupt an entire area of a casino over inconsequential penny play to the annoyance of every player in the room, that’s crossing the line. So all their “Much A Do About Nothing” was present in the casino, but it sure wasn’t Shakespeare’s, or even, Seinfeld, for that matter. That type of over-the-top inconsiderate & bad behavior was so ramped-up in one casino, that I was in one night, that security escorted them off the property. This episode was just a hair short of that. And yes, I don’t like it and neither did anyone else.
