I know this was a while back. But when i cleaned up my Peavey 112 teal stripe with scorpion speaker. The biggest difference in the sound was cleaning the speaker itself. I was blown away by how much of a difference it made. It was absolutely HUGE. All i did was take a new make up brush my wife dont ever use and i lightly and gently brushed the years of dust off of the front and back. I was surprised at how much dirt it had accumulated. But after i cleaned it it was like the cone inside could freely move again. I dont know. Im know expert. But i know what the amp sounded like before and how much better and bigger it sounded like after. Now i make sure every 3 or 4 months i clean and brush my speakers. Using a woman's make up brush is perfect and it makes an amazing difference.

Yeah mine makes a lot of popping and buzzing when I try to plug a guitar in, I have to wiggle and fuck with it a lot. I watched another video (kzread.info/dash/bejne/opZls5l-YMKXlcY.html) where he took it apart and determined there is stress on the board due to the placement of the handle, and had an interesting solution where he 3D printed some spools to lower the stress. I'm going to use my canned air on it first before opening it, concerned about exposure to amperage.. I know some electronics can hold a charge even after unplugged. Would rather fix it, rather than replace it even if I've had mine since like 1997. lol

When you test the amp, actually i am focusing the style you are playing the guitar. Sadly not the amp 😂

Do you know the specs of the Transformer? I have a Rage 158 but the transformer is dead and need replacement.

Hi, you can check the schematic , it has a 2040TDA, so is not more than 15+15 1A, check a 12+12 1A / 1.5A in best case, check the electrolitics in the supply, thats de MAX V that you can use, and check de datasheet for 2040 for better info about it

I need to clean my pots. Is the DeoxIt d5 is similar to WD40 ?

NO! Do not use regular WD40! WD40 is a lubricant with oil in it. Deoxit is alcohol based, and evaporates, leaving nothing behind. I
