I got sort of close, but still off! I turned the pan over, tucked the end of the paper under one side, then rolled the roll over the bottom of the pan and cut the sheet with a utility knife. Thats the closest ive ever gotten to it fitting nicely!

Made these today. With the exception of adding a light sprinkling of flaky sea salt on the freshly poured chocolate layer, I followed the recipe exactly as written. These bars are amazing. The texture of the peanut butter base and the chocolate topping together are absolutely delicious.
I've been making these for decades. They are always a huge hit, and they taste exactly like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Pro Tip: If you're using just chocolate for the topping (rather than a mixture of chocolate and peanut butter), you will want to leave them in the fridge only long enough for the chocolate to be *just barely* set but not yet hard (~20-25min). If you chill completely before cutting them into squares, the chocolate will shatter and some pieces will become detached from the peanut butter layer. Doesn't affect the taste at all of course but it does look messy, so if presentation is important (e.g. giving as a gift, or for a party, etc.), then you'll want to make sure you cut before it gets hard.

@WindsongVirtual

@@zeeshawnali4078 I usually make it the same day, or back in my employee days when I would take it to work for "treat day" I'd make it the evening before. Leftovers (if there are any LOL) will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for a few days, but I'd say they're "optimal" (best flavour) when consumed within a couple of days.
I made this two weeks back and it turned out so good. Everyone loved it. I really enjoy your recipes. There’s a simplicity in them and in the way you explain each instruction. I have gotten better at baking, thanks to you 😊

This is the second recipe I tried from Preppy Kitchen, You already know these are going to be amazing when your kid is licking the batter off the bowls. We both tasted the end result and this bar is WAY BETTER than any peanut butter cup you can buy in the store. Thank you John!
One of my childhood treat memories, my mom would combine the peanut butter, butter, AND honey. Incorporate that extra ingredient for some added sweetness. My ultimate favorite, sweet & salty crunch!!
I made these tonight and they are fantastic! I did use less sugar as I am very sensitive to the taste of it, especially powdered. 1 1/4 cups worked so well for me! A new summer favorite, I love keeping it in the fridge.
I have just made these and OH MY GOODNESS...They taste insanely good. Thank you for the recipe. I have been watching your creations during the current UK lockdown and they all are amazing.

John, I just made this and it is one of the best desserts ever! I had to substitute stevia for the powdered sugar because I'm type 2 diabetic, but other than that, exactly the same. Amazing and thank you so much for creating this!

Your snack is alright with me! My great grandmother used to make us homemade bread, toast it, and then add butter, peanut butter, AND honey! So good!
Baking, the way to heal a broken heart :)
My husband makes these for me when I'm craving something sweet! He does a variation with white chocolate that's really good, too. When he makes chocolate ones, he does a mix of milk and dark chocolates. It's to die for! 👌😎
Made these and they are in the fridge cooling. Glad to have another cookie to make that doesn't take heating up the kitchen in the 100 degree heat today! Thank you for sharing this recipe. I can't wait to eat them!
My grandma does something similar to this around Christmas time and we call them incredibles. 🥰
These look so good! I also love that you keep any little accidents or mistakes in the video; it makes me feel like I can make things too, even if I mess up sometimes.
Real food!! The best one ❤ thank you for your work
Oh my gosh that’s my favorite snack also! Throughout both of my pregnancies I had to have a piece of toast with both peanut butter and butter and a cup of tea every single afternoon. And that’s still my comfort food to this day. Sometimes I have it for breakfast. Sometimes it’s a dessert. Sometimes it’s a great lunch!
I made these and took them to my in-laws tonight. Everyone loved them! My mother-in-law even asked for the recipe. I don’t have graham crackers or biscoff cookies where I live but I was able to find a nice substitute. I loved the fact that this is a no-bake dessert and that I didn’t have to turn on my oven in this stupid hot summer.

What did you substitute for the graham crackers?
@yomintyfresh
2 ай бұрын
I saw that popeye4016's comment is really old but wanted to add this for the future. :) I live in a place where graham crackers are an expensive imported item and sub in butter cookies. They are mostly there for a little crunch and aren't the main flavor, so I typically get the generic version of Bahlsen butter cookies. Crunchy sugar cookies or British digestive biscuits would probably be good. In the US, I would also consider something like Nilla wafers (for the rest of the world: they're not wafers, just little vanilla cookies).
I made these for my husband, once, about a year ago and he’s brought up how good they were more times than I can count. Making them for him again for Valentines Day on Monday. Thank you again for this recipe!

I tried this and it's amazing. One thing I didn't expect would make that much difference is mixing that extra scoop of peanut butter through the chocolate. The tastes blend as seemlessly as the ingredients themselves do. I used speculaas for the cookies. The cinnamon goes extremely well with peanut and chocolate.

I think I found you when I was looking into crust recipes - and eventually came across this peanut butter bar treats. As an older member of the LGBTQ+ world, I certainly appreciate your role in others' lives whether you realize it or not.
