Spacebar pulls you up, pressing control lets you kick with the tool on your feet. Doing both gives you big jumps. Grabbing mid air also gives momentum and you can also kick off walls as long as theres upward momentum

You know what would be impressive? If someone actually speedran this game without abusing the physics by doing super jumps and flailing your arms in the air. This is impressive but not for being good at climbing just for being good at consistently performing super jumps and remembering the route thats it. Like a 20 minute run where someone just was really quick and made no mistakes while climbing normally would actually be impressive.

But people wanted any kind of edge they could get over someone else, so they used glitches and cheats to do so. Now its its own seperate category. It loses its appear after a little while, in comparison to just watching someone play the game.
