Peaches Geldof's Last Interview: 25-Year-Old Vowed To Never Let Her Two Sons Down Before Death

Peaches Geldof's last interview is haunting to say the least. Less than one month before she was found dead inside her U.K. home today, the late 25-year-old socialite opened up about parenting and her two infant sons Astala and Phaedra. "Becoming a mother was like becoming me, finally," Geldof told Mother & Baby magazine "After years of struggling to know myself, feeling lost at sea, rudderless and troubled, having babies through which to correct the multiple mistakes of my own traumatic childhood was beyond healing. I felt finally anchored in place, with lives that literally depend on me, and I am not about to let them down, not for anyone or anything."

She was a Darling with very deep hurt inside and she HAD 2 medicate 2 feel better.. HER Babies worked 4 awhile and the fancy distractions BUT She just needed to FEEL OK--Very SAD horrible story..The 2 Babies must be Longing 4 their Mother wondering where are those loving arms, her goofy voice, HER smell, MOMMY...The separation anxiety from the babies blows my mind..Makes me so sad.

Addiction. Because she was clean for a while, then relapsed using very pure Heroin. She had lowered her bodies tolerance to the drug after being clean, then she used it again. Sadly, this happens to many addicts after becoming sober and they relapse.

Well , Peaches, you lied to yourself. You did let them down, just like your mom did. No one should believe the words of an addict. So tragic. How bad was your childhood ? you appeared to be having a lot of fun. Your parents certainly tried their best but sometimes, it is never enough. Kids are never grateful . Maybe people should just stop having kids. Period. End the human confusion......

I dont think its fair to assume she wasnt grateful, or know at all what went through her mind or how she felt growing up. People need to stop acting like they know what goes through someones mind that they dont even know. Everyone experiences are different and you may have no idea what kind of self battle she was fighting. Just be kind.

Peaches was a little girl when her Mum died. Suddenly…. She was separated from her before that, thanks to a custody battle. The rest of Peaches life was haunted by her mother’s death. I would hardly call her childhood “fun”.

Well, she did let her sons down for heroin. It was a tragedy for her husband and children for sure, as well as for her father. Like mother like daughter, both od’d with their babies next to them. Forgive me if I find that kind of behavior inexcusable. Both had enough money to go to rehab and get clean. They should have done it for their children’s sake, since they professed to love them so much.

@ginchen33. Its Not that easy. They did not want to be addicted to heroin. Its a lonely drug. What I mean by that it's not like alcohol or cocaine where its social. Its not a " fun" drug if that makes sense. They are not to blame. They did not want this. It's heartbreaking.😢

Never have babies to correct your problems as look at what she did - she put those poor babies in the same position that she was put in. In that last interview she would have known that she was lying through her teeth just to give the facade of being a perfect mum and wife. When will people learn that babies are not the cure of problems, youre just dragging more people into your grief cycle.
