Yeah, but at the same time that DB was made when Twilight Princess was the new game. Since then we've had Zelda becoming the reincarnation of a light goddess... so Peach is kind of up a tree if/when Zelda obtains the Triforce.

@@UndomaranelZelda needs the whole triforce though and that’s not always possible. Peach can literally bring any power up she wants and has the same super strength as Mario and has been adventuring with him technically since super Mario bros 2. If you can agree that Mario will beat Zelda then peach will win as well.

@@DamoclzA big part of it would depend on if they allow non-canon stuff in it like they did in this fight, such as the Smash Brothers move sets or that Mario Strikers kick Peach won with. Since if they allow non-canon then that means we'd have to consider Zelda from both Hyrule Warriors games, which means the Rapier, Bow of Light, Dominion Rod, Wind Waker, Sheikah Slate. and Master Cycle all as army-slaying weapons. But on the other hand, Peach would get guns and stuff from Mario vs Rabbids so.. hmmm. Also she'd officially have at least some Mario power-ups like the Fire Flower, Ice Flower, or Cat Suit so more hmmm... Well, either way, regardless of who wins, it'd be fun to revisit since both characters have gotten *a lot* since this fight originally aired.

@@JoshTigerheart non-canon would matter more to Zelda than it does peach as the Mario series doesn’t have a established “canon”. Every Mario game is canon including the spin-offs of the series. Zelda on the other hand the spin-offs are not and even then you would have to take in consideration on which Zelda will fight while there’s only one peach. Even without smash bros, Mario RPG, Super Mario bros 2, Mario 3D World, Mario Wonder, and Super Paper Mario are all games that show how capable peach is on her own, Zelda on the other hand besides hyrule warriors is always shown needing help and can only do so much on her because she is not a fighter while peach has been in the game to fight alongside Mario since the second game. I love both of them though. Best gaming princesses ^^

0:44 the brief pauses in between smacks to the face is one of my all time favorite Death Battle moments.

1:41 Wait how did Zelda scream? She was asleep when it hit and afterward, her head was gone. But honestly, this battle is pretty good for one of their older episodes. The slap fight and Peach's finisher are really great moments, especially as someone who loves Mario Strikers. Also they acknowledged Peach has a game on the ds with 4 powers that were actually very versatile, and the whole fight made use of moves exclusive to her, since this was before she was playable in games like 3d world and Wonder.

Has anyone realized how op the Mario characters are? Wario has canonically moved stars and peach has beaten him. Zelda is cooked

This fight can easily be played on Smash.

They totally did this in celebration of Peach’s new game, and I love them for it. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if DB gives this fight a rematch or just gives Peach a brand-new fight sometime, if everything goes well. Though if they do rematch Peach VS Zelda, I have a feeling the scales would be tipped even further in Peach’s favor, especially with her Showtime transformations.

I'm glad they're reuploading just the fights and I still feel nostalgic watching these, but it really shows how far Death Battle has come over the years. The script, animation and fight coriography have gotten exponentially better, with the last season being its strongest imo. Watching these old fights is great, but I'll still probably go back to some newer fights just to witness the banter between the two fighters

The amount of hate i remember this episode getting on it's debut back in 2012. The animation may be outdated but the result most certainly is not. What with all the physical skills and power-ups Peach has obtained in recent years, especially from The Super Mario Bros Movie & PP: ShowtIme, i have no doubt she would easily kick Zelda's ass now. Peach has literally evolved from helpless cliche damsel to badass warrior sweetheart. Thank you Nintendo.

If the show continues which I think I’m optimistic about it continuing, while this episode doesn’t need a remake imo, they both need a comeback.

Rematch or not, they both could need a second appearance on Death Battle. Peach VS Barbie could be awesome, but I just don't know who to pick for Zelda.

Imagine this, a boy of both the strength of a bear and a gorilla throwing hands with Muscle Man's doubled strength. Both power house units struggled to contain them so what if they met and duked it out? 😮

This definitely brings me back. Would love to see a potential rematch of these two, just like how it was done for Mario VS Sonic, using modern rules and better animation.

A handicap death battle would be nice. Like say, Wonder Woman vs Wolverine and SpiderMan. Few things to consider are: 1. Wonder Woman sometimes struggles with Cheetah, so she should also struggle with Wolverine. 2. Spider-Man subdued Captain Marvel by firing a web bomb in her mouth 3. Wonder Woman’s sword might be able to slice through Adamantium, but she doesn’t use it right off the bat. She only uses it against godly opponents

Is there a lore reason of why they are reposting all the death battles???

nintendo death battles are always the highlight of the series to me! wish there could be more of them. i mean, the channel used to be named after an item in metroid afterall, and every fight remake/rematch other than goku vs superman was a nintendo battle

This is legitimately is one of my favorite Episodes of Death Battle i whis thay remastered it or a second round

I still feel bad for that sheep, poor bastard was put through all kinds of abuse the minute it was summoned.

With Princess Peach Showtime out now, this beautiful and competent ruler has some more surprises for the competition! But I still find it weird that Peach has all this power and can fend for herself... and yet Bowser always gets the drop on her.

Discovered that Ben didn’t animate this, and with the new abilities and feats Peach has, in a rematch I wouldn’t count on the outcome to change, even if Zelda goes Dragon Form, Radiant Peach can still utterly destroy her.

Death battle what happend to the 20min videos i used to love.we need more video's like those not just throwbacks to the fights that happend before we need new ones

This was the fight that got me into the series.

Honestly out of all the death battles I wasn't expecting one from season 1 to pop out and if it was going to be any I was surprised that it was Zelda versus peach which I forget is a season 1. But man does this take me back to time when you comic book matchups weren't that prevalent

Love how it devolved into a cat fight ending with a frying pan to the face, for 8 bit graphics about video game princesses it's painfully real.

Old battles were really funny and inaccurate. They were being settled by coincidences in many occasions

This one is accurate. Peach absolutely destroys most of Zelda’s arsenal or ignores it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this one was animated by ShortFactor right? CLASSIC NG era sprite animator, worked on that incredible Sonic Fan-Game, "Sonic Utopia." I wish these fight reuploads had the original animators credited in the descriptions, but at least they link to the original episodes that do.
