Usually I can tell when an actor has a fake accent for a role, but I genuinely thought Freddie was American before this interview. He has one of the best and most natural sounding accents I’ve ever heard.

Honestly his best scene was when he took over the rifle from Peacemaker when targeting the kids. Just the character being self-aware enough to know his friend couldn't do it but he could and just gently stepping in to do something horrible so Peacemaker doesn't have to.

@@justindai8401 I mean Ryan is definitely perfect to play dead pool, but he does emphasise his personality when playing dead pool. He’s definitely more like dead pool than Freddie is like vigilante. I just feel like both characters are similar in their humour/pronunciation and how they talk ect. Not saying it’s a bad thing I’m not sure what vigilante is like in the comics. He was pretty good in the show though. Some humour did fall flat

Freddie kills it in the show. We are lucky the previous actor had to go.

I can't imagine anyone else being Vigilante. Stroma made a totally psychotic murderer so likeable. He made me laugh in every episode. I'm sure I'm not alone when I declare that Vigilante is my fave from Peacemaker. Also how ridiculously cheerful he is all the time is nice. Honestly, the cast had excellent chemistry all around, but the chemistry between John Cena and Freddie Stroma was next level. So easy to believe they've been friends for years.

This show is fantastic, but Freddie Stroma as Vigilante is the best part of his show! Everything he does is GOLD!

The way he jumps off the window from the hospital bed, without even seeing how high he was up,tells you psychologically he's unbreakable. His mind works different.

He’s one of the highlights of the show. I immediately got attached to his character in the beginning of the series. I can’t wait for him to come back in Season 2 with Peacemaker and the gang!

When he was changing his facial expression in episode 3, he actually did look like a different person and I thought it that was awesome, I was literally surprised by how perfect that was, he should definitely continue being Vigilante in the future💯

perfect casting. freddie stroma really pulled it off and actually owns the vigilante character(with the creepily funny, sociapathic seriousness in him).

Adebayo was the only character that made me think about acting while watching the show. Like, I would always lose the feeling of being immersed and entertained every time she delivered a line. I don’t think she was a bad character because I thought Amanda Waller’s daughter being in the mix was a good twist for the peacemaker journal thing. But just wrong choice of actor to me and definitely not one of the “breakout stars” lol

the fact that hes british completely blows me away. he must have worked years on his american accent, not only does it sound normal, but it also sounds 'lived in' unlike a lot of other actors who try the same thing, and while they get it down technically, it doesnt feel 100 percent natural. it does here. great job

It's hard to say this with such an awesome cast, but Vigilante is hands down my favorite character.

I relate to vigilante in such an insane way because he doesnt feel emotions like most people but he still is attached to some things and just the way he is and it makes me so happy to have a character like me

The writing really relies on the character's totally owning it and not even being questioned and Gunn nailed it with Vigilante's psychopathic fan boy persona right down to the wireframe geek glasses and queasy tightrope walk between adolescent obsession and almost gay attraction which is the real subtext of the relationship. I can't fckng believe he's British that is just mental i love it. Best show I've binged since Silicon Valley!

I absolutely loved Vigilante, and part of that is that the actor not only made a great job but also has a natural charisma. I think on different hands, Vigilante would've been annoying.

I was emotionally invested in only 2 characters wellbeings, Eagly and V. This guy killed the roll

I'm glad Vigilante was recast, no offense to the actor Freddie replaced but I can't imagine anyone but him playing Adrian Chase

I don't know why, but he only caught my attention as Vigilante: thin and with glasses. He's been plenty handsome in the past, but here gives me that ughhh lol (Edit: the good ughhh. only the glasses would make it better 😆)

And the fact that he wasn’t the original actor that they have for Vigilante, they needed to reshoot all Vigilante scene from Episode 1-5. I’m glad they replaced the old actor! He nailed this role.

His acting was incredible in Harry Potter. I actually believed he was a real Quidditch player.

I always loved when Freddie was in a scene. I knew it was going to be awesome. When the scene was about him, made my week. This show was so much fun!

Vigilante was for sure my favorite character in the whole show, he stole the show for me, although John Cena’s Peacemaker was really well played too! All around great cast and acting in such a great show

He is so charming

I immediately thought I wasn’t going to like the character, that he was going to grow old quick. Nope! Played it so perfectly, one of my fave chars!

This was the first time I've heard him speak outside of Peacemaker and holy shit that's a great American accent in the show.

The way Freddie laughs on the initial serious questions gave me kinda Vigilante's vibes 🤣 The role play was good upto that extent. Period!

imma be honest one of the reasons i kept watching the show was vigilante , so talented so funny so kind and so humble at the same time , awesome dou with peacemaker loved it

I had no idea that he is British. 😅 Also his prison scene is by far one of the funniest scenes in the DCEU. 😅🤣
