I was in Memphis about 25 years ago and had the pleasure of seeing the ducks at the Peabody. A great experience. Quack quack

@@darkdill it was the same ducks...every 12.5 years they start at the top of the line again

My grandpa incubated and donated some of the ducks that were in the parade back in the day.

My and my brothers went to the Peabody and seen the duck about 4 days ago it was an amazing experience.

I've had some crazy jobs, but I would love to be Duckmaster!!!

there's even a children's book about those ducks

I would like to see someone try this with Muscovy Ducks!

Do they know it's time to go upstairs by hearing the music or by the duckmaster motioning with his cane that it's time to go up?

Their path to the fountain is covered with a long length of red carpet. This catches any ooops they may leave behind. We cannot add chemicals to the fountain water, so it is scrubbed daily. The elevators are scrubbed thoroughly before being put back in service for guests.

Guess I'm a killjoy but it seems sad that they have such limited space to swim

Hi Steven, they are banded and registered with the State of Tennessee Wildlife Department.
