I miss the good ol days when turbos didn't have wires.

This Peterbilt is much more generous in space to do this job. I'm currently working on a '17 Volvo and the limited space is killin' me.

i am car electrician, but man, i'd LOVE to work on trucks some day! Video is great - all steps are included, nice picture and voiceover of the process.

I’d like to see a dyno video comparing the a stock 605/2050 Cummins vs the intake upgrade, intake/exhaust upgrade & then intake/exhaust/tuner...that would have my undivided attention!

nice work on the video production. for future ones, how about adding the click or beep from the torque wrench whenever a torque is specified/applied? Sounds nice in the time lapse and it hammers home the point that a specific torque was specified and applied.

Good videos. How much torque and horsepower increase is there using your intake,turbo and exhaust manifold with a newer x15?

15% from the base file with the tuner, and the exhaust and intake each add 10-15 HP, the add a turbo set up will add another 30-40 HP. So on a 605 you can get over 700 to the tire.

@@pdidiesel.thanks for the reply.sounds good.ill do it after I become a owner operator. I talked to International about Propane Assist and I was told it is a very bad idea with the emissions engines now adays. The exhaust temperature is to high for the exhaust filter and sensors.

The port where turbo connects looks larger on old manifold looks larger than on new manifold. Which port has larger cross section area?

Same size, we just opened ours up instead of having a divider.

Does having lower egts not have an impact on the dpf system in the long run?

Not that we have seen. It still burns plenty hot.

Yes, through Dyno testing it will drop about 75-100 degrees of exhaust.

1:09 where does that compressor intake tube go and what does it do? including that adaptor that connects to the compressor housing? I can't find any information online about it.

On this X15 in the video, that is the air intake that supplies fresh air to the compressor. The line runs around the front side of the engine to the compressor. That may not be there on older ISX15 engines. The reinstallation is shown in about the 9:08-9:15 section of the video.

Yes, roughly 10-15 HP Gained on the chassis Dyno when tested on a 605 HP X15 Cummins.

We have not had any issues of customer's getting warranty voided. That is 100% up to the dealer that does your work though.

$1450 for non coated and $1650 for the Polished Ceramic or Matte Black Ceramic coated!

It is roughly 3-4 hours of shop time. Our shop rate is $125 per hour.
