A Falling Putt doesn't depend on the disc coming to rest in the basket. If as a result of your putting motion you fall/step/touch forward, that's a falling putt. Lots of players don't make a deliberate point of showing their retained balance before reaching for their mini marker, they make it all one motion, which is a way to stop your forward fall by 1st lowering your center of gravity and then going into a 3 point stance as you pick up your marker mini.

@@Tyguy_DiscGolf PDGA Numbers are mainly used to break ties for the next round's card assignments. Be weary of 8000 range numbers, this range was once PDGA reserved for european/overseas players, like Simon Lizotte. Normally the numbers are basically a time stamp, these 8k range numbers should be up in the 20k range (2000s) if assigned the same way yours was.
