Phoenix Championship Wrestling (not to be confused with the same wrestling company currently based out of Arizona) was a short-lived New Jersey promotion founded by Don & Mike Bucci. Don had been a wrestling manager within the NWA thru the 1990s while Mike is better known as ECW's Nova. The company enjoyed initial success due to their partnerships with other companies in the area at the time who were also trying to fill in the void from ECW's demise. They eventually landed a tv deal thru public access known as Fire Bird TV. In 2002 tho Mike left the company and signed with WWE and from there the company declined until it closed in summer 2003. Today lets take a look at the title history of this small indie brand.
