Suddenly a clown appears enters the cafe and runs out with a briefcase, shortly after that there is an explosion. And so Mr. Stobbarts adventute begins... -

    This game brings back so many memories. I remember being in the room with my sister and dad and we tried figuring out clues and stuff. Working together like a family. This game is still great, the story, the people, the level designs and I thought the music was fantastic. The game really pulls you in and interact with people and examine stuff. I can go on and on about how great this game is, it's just brought back such good memories. Thanks World Of Longplays! :-D

    Still one of my favourite games ever made. Everything about it is a classic: The look, the voice acting, the style, the humour and the story still hold up. Glad to see your longplay is the classic version as opposed to the remastered one as well. Thanks for posting.

    The guy was quick to send away the jacket. I didn't think it was that long between him meeting Kahn and meeting George. Also, a small theory, anyone think the waitress might have been Petra?

  • @stronggreenrock5461

    @stronggreenrock5461

    9 жыл бұрын

    The waitress isn't Petra. If you're wondering about Petra, she is mentioned in Director's Cut. When you play as Nico, go outside and then talk to the flower seller. The flower seller will tell Nico that her blonde "cousin" went inside the apartment. It's subtle but that's the reason why Petra knew Nico in BS3.

    the graphics are actually the same, theres a few new sections where you play as nico in a sort of spin of story (it feels kinda like a DLC episode) theres a hint system for people who get stuck and George can no longer die in the game. There are new graphics when characters speak and the portraits are by Dave Gibbons (of watchmen fame) the new stuff with Nico is nice because it has new puzzles too, but overall I think the original broken sword is better.

    dick dickerson Agreed. Sadly, in all four sequels there were only a few sparks of the humour that was ubiquitous in the SotT. Also, they are too linear. One good thing about SotT was you were given choices where to go, even if it was for all for nothing because you needed further developments or because there was nothing new at that spot. I suppose it demands more sophistication in teh programming and I hope they can fix it for BS 6 to 10. If wishes were horses... :)

    I really reccomend you to play the original. I played the director's cut - the new stuff is considerably weaker, portraits spoil the graphics... I'm not sure Cecil fully realises they possibly achieved the best adventure atmosphere ever based on stellar graphics and music and how great the concept of practically all the locations was. the new stuff simply doesn't match this brilliance.
