Oh man, I feel for Clay...! Crazy how it was only last week that he got his first qualified PBR ride... now hes flying!

As a new fan I wonder why they don’t score it in ‘tiers’. Like if 8 seconds makes a qualified ride, I can see a scoring system where maybe 5 seconds is it’s own benchmark, 8 seconds makes for a qualified ride, and then 10+ gives extra points or something. Just knowing that no single ride will ever go longer than those 8 seconds of excitement is kind of a bummer tbh. But I’m sure my opinion will change drastically after I watch some more PBR ! Dana White got me here!

Same here I'm not American I'm from Ireland but started watching around 2 weeks ago, I still don't understand the scoring system myself but regardless, super talented guys and amazing to watch them rodeo.

Maybe we give a participation trophy for 6 second ride……..8 seconds or pick your butt out of the dirt and get it right

I get what you’re saying ,but I feel it comes down to more of a tradition and simplicity of the scoring system

It’s not a participation sport. It’s either you can stay on or you can’t. It’s a very simple sport; stay on, don’t let go, 90% mental and the rest is in your head, and if you can’t clear your head for 8 seconds you shouldn’t be on the back of 1600+ pounds of muscle. Best you get for participation is second place which is just the first loser.

I don't know if judges give credit for bullriders landing on their feet after getting thrown off the bull if they don't they should because it's very impressive. 💯

Has anyone ever had a full 8 seconds on Twisted Steel?
