PBR Legends | The Converse Cowboy
Ойын-сауық
It’s no secret that by surrounding yourself with the right people and the right environment; you can not only expedite your personal growth but also enhance your chances of reaching dreams you didn’t even know were possible.
Grateful to have the pleasure of sitting with some of the best to ever climb on a bull. JW Hart, Ross Coleman, and Aaron Semas; all three recipients of the PBR Ring of Honor. Along with their good friend Kelly Barker; who brought an interesting perspective and insight being present throughout their bull riding journey.
I’m not a bull rider and I know very little about the sport, however, it’s not necessary to understand what these guys were talking about during this interview. I could feel the intensity of their energy as they shared their mindset and swapped stories about performance and life.
What I learned from our conversation yesterday is that a ‘winning mindset’ isn’t something that can necessarily be taught; only experienced, through repetition, overcoming failure, and consistent practice. And, by surrounding yourself with others that have a no-excuses mentality and a winning attitude will enhance your ability to adopt the same mentality
I’m beyond grateful to share time with these elite athletes and to get a glimpse into how their mind operates.
Stay Grateful!!

Great video. Aaron Semas is one of the most underrated Bullrider’s ever. Legend.
Their stories of bullriding and good times was great. Their talking about their difficulties and lessons as fathers, sons, brothers, and friends made this indispensable.
I remember showing cutters & watching these guys in the hotel. Cool throwback for me.
I could listen to those stories all day
I just finished this podcast. The last 15 mins is probably some of the best podcast talk I've ever heard.
thanks for doing and sharing this interview. When I got on my first bull in 1998 these were the guys I looked up to on TNN every sunday night. The bulls they mentioned were definitely the show stoppers of that era. Just really cool to hear the old stories and how they feel after the days of bullriding has past them. I can relate in so many ways. Thanks again

As a pro business and mindset coach, one of the most effective ways to influence another is to help them come to their own conclusion instead of telling them what to do. Often, they will come to the same conclusion that would've taken you 30 seconds to tell them, but advice won't always stick. If you stay curious and ask the right questions, and help them paint the right picture in their head, it will stick. Now, there is a time an place for advice and being more assertive, but when dealing with the ego of a young man, they will often rebel. My son has a rebel personality like his old man, if I give him options and coach him through it, he makes great decisions more often than not. In my coaching business, I often coach the same way. It creates real change and alignment. Ultimately, the made a choice and came to their own conclusion. We all want that....
Great show and bunch of great guys! Miss those days.
I was shocked when I seen Ross ride a bareback horse at Cheyenne. I couldn’t believe he was that good because I’d only seen him ride in the PBR. It was amazing.I started riding bareback in the PRCA and a couple of bull’s but I learned quickly you are all in or nothing (meaning) I wasn’t ready to die bull riding but I loved bucking horses and I was all in with that!
Goodtimes. In fact I lived in Molalla Oregon on Goodtime rd. I knew guys that partied at the Colemans ranch. Leslie and Leroy, Darrin Monen. One of my best memories of my life was 4th of July weekend, Sunday Snt.Paul Rodeo. Party after rodeo was closed. Me and 25 -30 cowboys all centered on me talking about me. Wow what a memory.
This was great. The way you set it up to open them up to tell stories. Your questions just more or less just pushed the conversation a little. The guy at the end of the table is epic! LOL The "little wood" story had me rolling. It wasn't real deep just transparency past and current. Pretty badass.

🤙🏼 thank you sir! These guys were great, all class acts! I’m grateful for the opportunity to sit down with them to be able to share their stories with you all.
Aaron Semas-"dont be afraid to fail"-- reminds me of a quote from Bart Miller--winners lose more than losers lose.

@@TheConverseCowboy I'd love to see a sit down with the Cowboys Cowboy,Walt Garrison. Would this be doable? Love this channel keep up the great work Mike!
Great video but it would’ve been very helpful if you introduce the men at the table. Not everyone including me knows who these legends are. Very entertaining video though. Thank you! (I now realize the names of the men are listed in the description 😊)

No bull riders should talk without mentioning Lane Frost or Tuff Hedeman.
It could have been Lane Frost.
Bottom line aaron bad ass bull rider
I am new to this sport. Im cool with u guys riding a bull but bunking horses, is where i have to draw the line. I feel its abusive.
