the fatigue is catastrophic and the worst part of this disease-trying to balance health promoting activity with rest becomes impossible and chronic illness depression kicks in u never feel better any stress makes it worse working with it is almost impossible as u cant get disability until ur higher up on the transplant list-these pts need disability in order to work with accommodations -hense the depression u would be depressed too if u had to push urself everyday to function no meds or behavioral therapy work for very long-it is a disease of hopelessness-that healthcare providers know nothing about anti depressants only help somewhat testing peoples brains after onset of chronic illness proves nothing im afraid-ive been a RN for 20yrs most pts are dx with firo or chronic fatigue before PBC it took me 6 years to even get to hepa primarily seen in women i was told many times i was just depressed -abandoned by the medical profession i was a part of-by the time ur diagnosed u feel relieved but quickly find out theres nothing that helps which kicks the depression up a notch-needs faster dx and accomodation in order to not get to the point of hopelessness this disease inevitably creates-test early provide support listen to your pts -

Dr. Swain could you please help me. I have all my blood test results but the doctors I have seen are giving me a total run around and I have lost all confidence in them. I just need someone to tell me what's going on. Please 🙏
