It sucks and hurts your score. It can be lots of things like oil, approach, and ball reaction. All I can say is keep trying no matter how many times you missed it.

Why are PBA pro bowlers so inconsistent now 💀

Bowling has devolved from a sport of finesse and consistency to "Look, everyone: 1500 RPM!"

Probably the most uneducated and misconception about the modern game.

@@mathewwoodall5185 Well, I was watching bowling before automatic pinsetters came about. I watched the greats--Carmine Salvino, Dick Weber (Pete's old man) Don Carter, Don Johnson, Earl Anthony--and I watched them adjust to the lanes and regularly score in the 230s-270s...with one plastic ball...and with one hand! Now I see imbeciles chicken-winging the ball with their forearms, or chucking it with both hands. "Look, Ma! With enough speed and RPM, you don't have to hit the headpin consistently to be on the PBA tour!" If this is the modern game, you can keep it. Bowling is dead.

@@scottbernard8824 calm down old man. gatekeepers like you prevent the sport from moving forward. you’re part of the cause of the drop in popularity of this sport in the last 20 years. look how 2 handed bowling has revived the scene today. 10 years ago we weren’t getting this many sponsors or this big a crowd or this large a prize pool
