Pazham Pori | Kerala Banana Fry

Kerala Style Banana Fritters (fry) … it’s not an ideal healthy recipe as it’s deep fried but it’s a tasty snack that my kids love for #ramadan iftar
Great tip to get a crispy non soggy banana fry is to add little rice flour to batter and deep fry bananas in small batch , pan should be wide with enough oil and do not over crowd and fry .
Pazham pori | Banana Fritters
Plantain Bananas-3 sliced lengthwise
All purpose flour -1.5 cup
Rice flour -1/2 cup optional
Sugar -4 tbs ( or more)
Cardamom-3
Egg -1 big optional
Baking powder-1 tsp
Turmeric-1/2 tsp for color
Salt -small pinch
Nigella seeds -1 tsp (kareenjeerakam, Black Cumin)
Water - 1/2 - 1 cup as required
Oil to deep fry
Mix all together (except oil and Nigella seeds ) . Add to a blender to a thick batter . Add the Nigella seeds .
Dip plantains in batter and coat well and deep fry in oil .

    Puthiyathaayi kalyanam kazhinja penkuttikalkk matram alla aankuttikalkum indakam alle? High time that cooking should be considered gender inclusive and certain minor dialogues like these might misinterpret the audience!
