It may seem like people don't want to be honest with you but honestly this is the best way we can actually determine the comparable cost of decks in comparison to each other. This video explains to those who may need to know it the best way to purchase budget decks and why the prices can be really different from what it's listed as in the deck lists. Mine usually run about $13 to $30 by what Moxfield uses for TCG Player pricing but if you actually copy and paste the list it can say you are paying $188 just for the one $33 deck. That's no bueno! So instead in this video I show you how to get that problem solved. There are a few options for purchasing cards and while we may use TCG Player for the market value (usually) you might be better off using a place like Card Kingdom or Star City Games.
Also I know that ~47% of you watching my videos are Non-US viewers, so I would like to point out that if you have things like Card Market or any of the other places that do a similar thing to one of the stores/services I talk about you likely can just translate the advice to them. Not only do I have good information but I also have some good bits in this and a nice little message from "Gym Bro" Cody. This video is perfect for new and old players alike! :)
If you actually read the description I genuinely think you are crazy, so if you wanna prove to me you did you should comment "I'm not crazy, you're crazy. Call me crazy again and I'll show you crazy!" That way I can see that and laugh. Otherwise have a great day and happy shopping!

I know a lot of you use the European markets since (despite popular belief) the United States isn't the entire world. So how true are these tips to your markets? Which ones are pretty similar for those who still need help with those websites? 🤔

In my experience, most tips related to TCG player will apply to EU players, since we’re most likely to use Card Market that functions in a similar way - as far as I know, there isn’t a EU equivalent to Card Kingdom. However there is one notable difference, language, which is a bit of a double edged sword. On one hand, not wanting to order German or Italian cards means I’m reducing the availability pool for myself, but on the other it means that cards I get in French will always come from France, Switzerland or Belgium, which are very close to me (all 3 countries basically fit inside of Texas) so shipping isn’t that bad if I can get the number of sellers down a bit. As a Card Market specific tip, the shopping wizard offers two different optimisation strategies, “lower card price” or “lower number of sellers” ; unless you’re after a specific printing of some cards or you’re buying an expensive deck, never choose “lower number of sellers”, it will pick the 15€ reprint of a 0.50€ card just to avoid adding another seller.

cards tends to cost a bit less and so nobody will comment about the price not being real. in general what you say holds true for eu market, the only big difference being the fact we can have more cards in other languages and most of the time they're cheaper than the english version. there is not such a thing as Card Kingdom in EU, the only one that compete in terms of a similar system is Card Trader. Card Trader has a system called Zero where you can basically put on a list o cards and they will find the best price for the cards versions you want and they will be sent all together. you can order the whole deck and it's sent in the same delivery BUT it take up to 1-2 months as they're kinda a single handler (not a seller) that receives cards from many vendors in the world and send those cards back to you when they collect them all at their storehouse. of while Card Market is more of a TCG system and the comment above explains how it works,

For anyone ordering at "Cardmarket" you have the option to do a "Wants list" and it will try so search Sellers who have all the cards you want. With this I am able to buy the decks pretty much for the price as there are mentioned here. Thank you for your Videos, they are always fun to watch and very entertaining! Good stuff keep it up!
Really appreciate the cameraman mirror in the shower. Very nice touch
The only thing i have to say about tcgplayer optimization is that it appears to only prioritize the card price, not card price + shipping. Ill usually start with optimized cart, then look for any carts where I have like 1 $.10 with $2 shipping, and see maybe I can get that card in another store for $.15 but have shipping already paid for by the other cards in that sellers cart. The filter for sellers in cart really helps for this, or opening up another tab and shopping for that store, and searching for those cards. I have frequently knocked down 10 dollars or more from the deck doing this, and narrowing down to less packages. I then optimized again, just for curiosity, and they added that $10 back. Take some extra time if you can, and you might be able to save some money.

Yeah it is not that hard to get everything you need from tcgdirect and like 2 other vendors if you just take a little time go through them
I had this EXACT problem when trying to order a budget deck from Suris’s budget series! It took FOREVER to get the cart down to $30 and it was nearly impossible to get it down further! I had to abandon ordering another one thanks to the ridiculous shipping costs! I wish the mail system had more accommodating costs for small pieces of cardboard but here we are!
Missing advice to not annoy your LGS 30 minutes before close with pull lists... boy I do not miss that xD
Appreciate your videos, especially as a new player looking at moxfield and thinking the average deck is like 300+ to be viable. Love your fun budget ideas!
This is such good info! Thanks for sharing it. I built your Judith deck and was able to snag 60ish cards from my LGS
Went ahead and joined this Discord, thank you for making these videos man. Y'all are hilarious, deserve way more views, and will eventually have them.

I may have left the powerlifting community, but it never has left me.
I don’t use any market because I am poor. Also I joined your discord. :)
At least my journey through the forest was nice.
What a beautiful journey
Hey I posted something on a previous video and how your deck prices you name are closest to the actual price, im not sure if this is what prompted you to make this video! But if so, I didn’t mean it in a mean way I wasn’t complaining I get it! But this is a helpful guide to help get the price down! I built you Zada deck build I had a lot of instants - give target creature +1/1, give target creature +1/3 and first strike.. and I was really looking for a home for all of them you came through with zada!

I do remember that, the honest reason i made it is for a few who felt a bit upset because they thought the price they would pay was $13 and it pulled back $80. Yours was actually the only one to compliment the pricing on any deck. 😅 I just wanted to help those few and any in the future. (Also get a chance to branch content early so im not locked into *just* deckbuilds)
another con for card kingdom is that they often don't have all the cards you want. Can't tell ya how many times I didn't buy a deck from them because they didn't have every card i needed
Woop your video is out, I can now go to sleep :)

your deck techs have been tempting me to spend money on singles instead of cardstock and library printing fees. which is saying something fosho
🎉
I’ve had pretty good experiences with tcgplayer, especially with getting refunds. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to wait 2 full weeks until you can request that refund, even if you know for a fact you’re not getting that card because the store is in the same state

Yeah, the store I had bought from messed up the address and never got it returned (so someone stole it) and kept a fun game of "reset the clock so tcg player doesnt step in". After they revealed they had a tracking number TCG player themselves verified that the address they sent to was completely wrong after few months of them trying to hide their mistake. But thats just on the seller, it all got resolved by TCG player.
oh hiiiiiii
