Paycheck Breakdown & Monthly Visual | How To Zero Based Budget

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Part 2 of how to zero base budget is concentrating on how to visually see your expenses/bills/needs and income interact with one another and extracting it to create a paycheck breakdown.
We assign every dollar a job and we make sure to revise/tweak/adjust to our needs and to events that pop up.
A budget is not permission to spend or to restrain you from a life of fun. Its a tool to manage your overspending, to keep you clothed, fed, safe and in CONTROL of your MONEY!
If you feel like your life is over by creating a budget you are doing it Wrong! You like coffee add it to your budget BUT if your income is saying NO then sacrifice cable or sell something to keep other factors of your life that you love.
Hope this helps you learn something new in learning how to start budgeting. And like always no 2 budgets are alike :)
Best of Luck,
Erika💕

    I just got my cash envelopes today and I laid out my monthly budget already for next month. I’m getting paid on Friday and I’ll officially be starting my budgeting journey thanks to your videos! This video got me so excited to calculate everything and schedule everything out when I get my check 😊 update: we can see a breakdown of our paychecks a couple of days before they’re deposited, so i budgeted it all out and i feel SO FREAKING GOOD about seeing a full breakdown of where i’m allowing my money to go! thank you so much for teaching me how to budget. i’m eternally grateful to you

    I get paid weekly. I do the 1/4 method. Every bill gets devided into 4 and I put 1/4 in every envelope every week for the next month and on my last pay check the next months Bill' envelopes are all stuffed and I just deposit each on the day it's due. I only do 4 weeks. If there is a week 5 it's a bonus and mine to do as I wish..savings. ...treat. it was hard to start it and I was on a strict budget to save over 1000.00. .

    I get paid weekly too! When I tell this to friends, they are jealous. JEALOUS! I also think if there is a week 5 paycheck it's such a blessing.

    amy fletcher omg yes I do the same thing! It makes paying bills manageable, but i actually pay it weekly and don’t wait until it’s due to pay it because it helps cuts interest in half (my car bills)

    Do you spend any money outside of this budget like lunch, nails, going to movies, or out for ice cream, random crap people always buy at like a Marshalls TJMaxx Walmart etc lol I need help in these areas Pretty good at the budgeting and prioritizing but what’s left over I tend to just spend just on day to day stuff

    I am following everything you say, but would like your opinion if you have a minute? My wife and I are in a much different situation than you. While you are paying off your previous debt, we are using our single credit card to pay for all of our expenses, excluding our mortgage. Then at the end of the month, we pay the credit card off and we reap the benefit of getting hotel points for our yearly vacation. Do any of your bills or expenses go on a credit card? I know you breakdown each paycheck into which bills are paid. How does Dave describe this particular situation and/or how do you handle it yourself? Thank you!

  • @erikalifevlogs

    @erikalifevlogs

    4 жыл бұрын

    I dont do that. All my bills whether for house expenses or general bills get taken out through my debit card. But Im not against earning points or cash back on creditcarda as long as you know how to manage you spending and are paying off the balance each month. As for Dave he would not approve. Hes stated this before in many of his videos. You cant convince that man that credit cards are a good thing whether you pay it off each month. He will forever preach cash or out of your checking account

    Why not call it a Float Fund, so it has a more positive subconsciously psychological spin? And instead of a Shutdown fund, call it a Free-cation and you'll be much more likely to fund both of them! 😃
