I knew a family who had their cat declawed for scratching their toddler's face. It made me sad because the child may have been hurting the cat.

This shows how important eye contact is. Even cat and babies look into the eyes of who they are infront of to get an understanding of the person or animal's temperament, and to get a feel of what they will do next. That's so cool.
