Mam why we didn't multiply by 12 while calculating the time period in discounting payback period in the numerical project P and Q while we divided while calculating the numerical in payback where answer was 3yrs and 4 months kindly reply

For case Q 696/1000= 0.696(amount remaining to reach 4000 will be divided by cash inflow, i.e 1000) Further multiplied by 12 months will give 8.352. Accordingly 8 or 9 months may be written. Please correct me if i am wrong..

Mam in last question according to NPV method Project Q is accepted. But according to Discounted Payback period method Project P is good as it's payback period is less than project Q. So both the Methods of Capital Budgeting gives us different meanings. So mam what to do in this situation? Should we go according to Npv method or according to Discounted Payback period method?

Npv is a method that focuses on the shareholders wealth maximization, whenever we are evaluating investment proposals from using different tools of capital budgeting. The final decision should be taken on the result of NPV.

Ma'am hamne Payback Method mei last mei bache hue amount ko difference se multiply karne ke baad 12 se multiply kiya, but discounted payback method mei nahi kiya. Why is that?

No, it's a mistake by Ma'am, you're right it was actually supposed to multiply by 12 months, I know it's about Present Value, but considering the Months is a Different Concept, whether Discounted or Non Discounted, months have to be taken according to the Cash Inflows

Mam project q ka first cash inflow 3636 hai according to me

MADAM PEHLE KE MATHODS MAIN CASH INFLOW NUMERATOR MAIN REHAT HAIN AND CASH OUTFLOW DENOMINATOR MAIN ...LIKE IN NPV PV FV ETC BUT NOT IN PAYBACK FORMLA WHAT IS HTE REASON

Mam last question me apne 12 months se multiply ni kiya cumulative me, Jaise pehle kiya tha???

Discounted payback wale question mai , I think end mai 12 months se bhi multiply hona chahiye tha. Project P mai 2 years 7 months lage Project Q mai 2 years 11 months Please correct me if I am wrong .

Yes you are wrong !!! Mam ne 2.6 years likha hai means vo 2 year 7 months hi hota hai ! Ek hi baat hai dono
