THIEVING PASTORS: WHY NO CHRISTIAN SHOULD PAY TITHES All of those pastors who insist that their flock must pay tithes are THIEVES. The first time that tithes were mentioned in the Bible was when Abraham returned from the slaughter of the kings and he paid a tenth of the spoils to King Melchizedek, in Genesis 14:17-23. Note that this was a onetime payment. The second time tithing was mentioned, was when Jacob had an encounter with his God at Bethel and he gave God a tenth of his wealth, Genesis 28:20-22. Note to that this was a onetime payment also. Tithing, as an institution was established to support the Levites because that tribe had no land inheritance like the other tribes. Tithes was especially needed to support the priests to carry out their functions After the birth of the Church at Pentecost, no apostle, no prophet, no bishop, no pastor, no evangelist or anyone EVER preached tithing to Christians. Christians can offer any amount they choose! In fact, the early Church members sold their properties and established communal ownership of wealth, Acts 4:32-37. Offerings were collected at the Church at Corinth to assist the poor at the Jerusalem Church, 1 Corinthians 16:1-4. Apostles did not ask Christians to pay tithe because they felt that the Levitical priesthood was abolished, and Christ was their priest after the order of Melchizedek. so when pastors quote Malachi 3:10, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." they are exhibiting greed and ignorance of the scriptures. Please note that the Apostle Paul evangelized more than all the other apostles but he earned a living as a tent-maker. Don't let these greedy thieving pastors enrich themselves and their families whilst you get unfulfilled promises of wealth. Don't listen to those brainwashed idiots and DO NOT let them prevent you from speaking out against the so-called men of God. When the whole of Christendom, from the Pope down, was supporting slavery they were brave secular men who were not afraid to speak out against those so-called men of God. The same Apostle Paul stated that when the Apostle Peter, the man whom Jesus stated that he would build his church on, was guilty of hypocrisy, he, Paul PUBLICLY confronted him.

@@thulani2640 You need to read what I wrote carefully. I NEVER said that Abraham tithe from the LAW. I gave the first two one-off historical instances, starting with Abraham and then Jacob. I then stated that TITHING was INSTUTIONALIZED to support the LEVITES and by extension the Aaronic priesthood who were from the tribe of Levi, who were the ONLY tribe that was not given ANY LAND inheritance but was dispersed throughout the other tribal territories. The tithe were given annually from the REAPING of the harvest. Leviticus 27:30-34 states: "30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord. 31 If a man wants at all to redeem any of his tithes, he shall add one-fifth to it. 32 And concerning the tithe of the herd or the flock, of whatever passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to the Lord. 33 He shall not inquire whether it is good or bad, nor shall he exchange it; and if he exchanges it at all, then both it and the one exchanged for it shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed. 34 These are the commandments which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel on Mount Sinai." Listen to your argument; the apostles never taught tithes because they had, ONLY the Old Testament? Since they quoted extensively from the Tanakh or OLD TESTAMENT, and mentioned tithes in conjunction with Melchisedec's blessing of Abraham but NENER TAUGHT it to Christians! WE now have a New Testament, and it still does not teach tithing to Christians! Does that argument make sense? Hebrews 7:1-12 states: "7 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. 4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. 5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: 6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. 8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. 9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. 10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him. 11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law." The, Apostle Paul, who was the greatest Christian evangelist in history, EARNED a living by making tents. So despite all of the epistles or letters of New Testament writers, now regarded as scripture, instructing early Christians, not ONE teaches Christians to tithe! You pastors that preach tithing, act CONTRARY to scripture and are therefore THIEVES!

I dey laugh 😂 I feel sorry already for anyone even this person saying such things. If you know why tithe is called the accursed thing then you wouldn't joke with it. I'm so sorry for Christian's that doesn't give their tithes, just remember the devourer is around the corner waiting to pounce! He that has an ear let him hear. I really feel like shouting. i heard in a testimony of an ex satanist that the devil stops christians from paying tithe to keep them in poverty.Paying tithe will grow your wealth in ways you cannot imagine.God will multiply what you have and his word says it.Another thing is always praying before you make any decision.Take every plan to God and let him guide you through “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21

My ex-colleague, a tither 's earnings were low becos of qualifications, and even if she achieved cum laude result, the boss wud not expose her to available opportunities. Thru God of people's desires, a business man bought her unfinished house, in exchange of a house in suburbs, ready furnished build ins, 2 kitchens, pool,, double garage with TV room: plus R250 000. The Formula For Wealth (Why are so many people Poor/ why are Christians poor?) 1. They are poor because they have not decided to be wealthy 2. They do not have a goal to be wealthy 3. Lack of the understanding of the real formula for wealth and abundance 4. Lack of mental transition from the realm of poverty to wealth 5. Mysticism 6. There are spiritual laws that governs the annoiting and so there is a formula that governs wealth.

Good morning man of God, I'm Mr Manash Paebide Elijah from Bayelsa State. I listened to few of your teachings and find them worthy. But in this particular message titled, "Pay all Your Tithes and Pray and You Will Remain Poor". All the points you raised are wonderful but short of something. And that I mean proper breakdown of the points you raised. When this is done people will know where their problem is, otherwise it'll be to them as though they weren't taught at all. Take for instance, your number four point that has to do with not having an understanding of the real/right formula, you didn't tell the congratulation what is the formula. I therefore urge you to improve on this. Tnx and more grace to you.

Did you know that, concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity, Malachi 3:8-12 is not the full counsel of God? It is an excerpt, quoted to the church for centuries (believe it or not), which is a misrepresentation of God's counsel. We've accepted it because that's what we have always been taught. Here are a few points to consider. -- Who did God appoint to receive tithes? God said, "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (Numbers 18:21-23). In this scripture, God established who receives the tithe (the Levites), and why they received it (they received no inheritance, and they served in the temple). This assignment is exclusive to Levites. A pastor cannot assume this assignment, he has never been scripturally assigned by God to collect tithes, he is not a Levite. In that same sense, only a Levite, never a pastor, could ever serve in a Jewish temple. The church has not replaced the Jewish temple, and pastors have not replaced Levites. -- People are blessed when they give, not because of Malachi 3, which is based on the Law of Moses, an Old Testament law that has been replaced by Grace under Christ, at the cross. They are blessed because Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38). It is this principle of giving and receiving at work, when we give and are blessed. Not the expired law of tithing, which was required of the Jews (never Gentiles), and could only be received by Levite priests because they received no inheritance and were set apart to work fully in the Jewish temple. -- There is much more to this, such as Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek, Jacob's promise to tithe, the history of when and why the New Testament church tithes (there is actually a date!), and the biblical support for all these truths. To be clear, every pastor has a right to collect offerings in support of the ministry; I fully agree with supporting the church financially. But our giving must be godly. It is wrong to require people to tithe, contrary to the scriptures, then say that we live according to the scriptures. Three biblical truths, regarding tithing: (1) There is no scripture that authorizes anyone but a Levite to receive tithes. (2) There is no scripture that authorizes a pastor to receive tithes. (3) There is no scripture that requires a Gentile to tithe. If you're interested in learning more, I have researched and written about this in "Tither, You Are Free!" It's beyond tithing and offering -Why are so many people(Christians) poor reasons: 1.They have not decided to be wealthy 2.They do not have a goal to be wealthy. 3.Lack of understanding real formular for wealth and abundance. 4.Lack mental transition from the realm of poverty to wealth. -Spirituality will not lead you to wealthy,their is a formular eg putting on trouser,glasses ,picking and answering the call,everyone knows this formular. -mytism will grow if you don't understand the formular.
