Great job backfilling. However, I would suggest putting rigid 2 inch insulation along the outside of the foundation walls. If ever used as a heated building and minimize frost heave of the floor slab.

Nothing wrong with a well built post framed building. Pole rot concerns can be eliminated with integrated concrete ground stubs or by water-proofing the buried post segments. Of course I really like the CMU foundation as shown here, but it's also a $6000-$8000 added expense VS. a post framed garage of the same dimension (at least in my area).

Have you ever heard of thimbal board for a seal all around it’s got little dimples all around for compaction and it’s black and seals all around the foundation and footer so water when ejecting never goes in the pores of the block cause block and concrete pass water so parge and tar and rigid with thimble board in there is the industry standard so your running on minimum specifications for your installs we have to do every other cell pour and rebars horizontal and vertical I would stay away from block foundations doing it your way water fills inside the block walls freezes and breaks up the lightly structured block walls your doing knowledge is power and process is important and choosing the right product is what makes a professional thanks again Erik from Montana being a critic hope you take tit the right way we all can learn from each other

For clay soils we would have added water proofing and a drain pipe. I would not win any bids or have any work if I put xtra cost under ground that is not needed. This soil is all sand and holds 0 water I have worked here before. We always do a drain in wet soils.
