I always enjoy hearing a politician who speaks the truth with dignity and the intent to carry out his duties as the same, not at all lost in showbiz tv land, an extremely rare commodity in the whole political spectrum these days, on that side it's very sad.

Judging by the comments used in replies past and present, George is a legend, the best thing that has happened to British politics, talks the truth, the establishment are scared, George should be Prime Minister and many other dazzling comments. As of writing this in 2023, Mark Field was spot on with his crystal ball. The Lib Dems have never recovered thus far in Parliament to return to pre 2015 MP numbers. As a result of the 2008 banking crisis we entered an era of a lower standard of living. Later made worse by covid, and will continue to be made worse with green policies. He was also right in saying we'd enter a period of politics where we'd chop and change leaders - but not because the voters (at least initially) were disenfranchised of the two main parties, but mainly because of Brexit.
