It takes about 7 hours to drive from the Bay Area to Southern California.
So, our goal on the first day was to head south as much as possible, with a stop in between for a break.
There are two good rest stops on I-5 southbound from the Bay Area to LA that I’d recommend.
One is Barvo Farms, which we visited this time, and the other is Harris Ranch.
Harris Ranch has delicious-looking steaks, but unfortunately, we didn’t get to try them on our way back because it was too late.
