    Yep, I really have to have this $4000 dress, WTF, rent one for a few hundred, you'll never wear it again anyway.I have 6 sisters and not one of them ever wore their wedding dress again, even when a couple of them got re-married.     Wow. I wonder how many of you are married or have daughters. I really hope some of y'all are joking. A tiny stack of paper for your daughters happiness is more than worth it, you fools. My mother has worn her wedding dress on several romantic vacations with my dad after their wedding. It was a pricey white dress, but one she can wear on lots of occasions, and my dad would much rather see her in it than stare at a comic book.

    My neighbor got married in Vegas back in the early 60s, all together it cost him was 75 bucks and that include EVERYTHING. From license to photos and a dinner for 6 people at the golden nugget. And they are still married together as a couple.

    All I see are excuses. You want something, you work for it. Extend the wedding date to when she actually surpasses her 20's.     She wasn't listening the expert said the 5cent extra was sold in certain areas. If I understood it correctly, it doesn't have to do with her dad spending the extra 5 cents it was where he was located, the extra 5 cent one probably wasn't sold in his area.

    This is a fantastic book! I collect comics, and the offer of 1500 was fair, but good lord, don't go to a pawn shop! She could sell this to a serious collector for 2000 if she held out and had some patience.

    When you don't know that much about something you're selling and you're asked for a price, up it with a notch or two instead of going for your desired value straight away. Or simply say "I am not sure", and once it is valued, you take it from there. Works fine that. A good example is that guy selling the #1 Barbie. He knew what he was doing and went there with a better price than he initially thought of.

    Trading a signed Star Wars 1977 comic for a 4k wedding dress is not worth it. One the comic will go up in value over time, since it's a rare collectible that can't be reproduced, while the dress goes down in value since it will be worn and there' many similar out there.
