I remember as a kid putting the Han Solo figure in a cup of cold water and then freezing him like when he was encased in the carbonite in Empire Strikes Back. The next day when it was frozen, I had the Luke and Leia figurines “rescue” him by running the cup under hot water to thaw him out and save him lol 😂. Good times!

I did the same.. except… I used one of the plastic covers the figures came in.. But the cups a cool idea. Kinda like a frozen carbonite/ bacta tank combo for preservation and healing purposes… Loved my Star Wars toys..

Yes to a point. Dramatic recreation. Consider the average crowd at say comic con. Not much in the way of models and buff dudes in the crowd. For every A, B, C, or D list actor in Hollywood there's five hundred people walking a dog or standing at a bus stop in a Rx commercial on late night tv. More photogenic. Some overweight balding, pimples sweaty dude wants to off load his childhood collection to hit the casino and strike it rich. So buy the lot for $200. Sell them online for a five bucks a pop. Double your money in six weeks. Meh. Rick as EP has friends and knows certain celebrities who come to him to fill thier collection Hey Rick I'm looking for a rare 1920`s Tibetan..... So If they are in Vegas on Vacation or seeing a show Rick asks them to come by the set and pretend to buy something or sell something. That guy that owns Elvis umpteenth pink Cadillac and a jump suit. Come by the set. Earn a thousand bucks and pretend to offer to sell it. I will haggle and low ball and hum and haw, eventually say I guess we can't make a deal. Plus twenty five percent off.

I feel so sad yet smile so much looking at old toys on these shows. I sit here now nearly 50, kids all grown and left and yet seeing an old star wars toy takes me back to my grans house at xmas when my parents would take me and my brother there each year and id be hanging off the top rails of the stairs there hanging ewoks from my nans lamps on the ceiling with string and in her fake plants around the house whilst my brother set up his at at walker on the stairs and all sorts of other things loool I would give anything to be back there listening to my dad moan about stepping on a rock hard chewbacca figure we left in the front room and just to see everyone again and be there in those times, the best days ever

I had a Falcon model as a boy in the 1990's, I really wanted an X Wing fighter model but the store run out, I remember being absolutely gutted at that! 🤣 Great memories! Let's see how much it is to frame! Go on Chum!

Sometimes I really want to know if chum has his own family. Because these are more like father and son than most father and sons need to be. It's very heart warming. I dunno.. probably just me lol. I don't have a dad so it's nice to see this kinda relationship.

Chum has more respect in his thumb than the whole Harrison family combined. They could learn a thing or two from Chum about humility but they are blinded by their own egos.

The Rancor Keeper figure DEFINITELY looks just like Rick. He should put it in his office! 😄

Back in the 1990s my friend sold his Star Wars collection for $24,000. It was enough back then to pay for his wedding reception and have a nice honeymoon. I wonder what it would be worth today with the increased interest in the Star Wars franchise.

I had an original Millennium Falcon & an X Wing. I destroyed both of them when I was a kid. I often set my toys on fire so they looked like they had been in battle or in a crash.

@CJC0017 Nobody here knew those toys were going to be as valuable as gold several decades later. I didn't have a lot of supervision as a kid in the late 1970s & early 1980s. I was wild & free. I usually liked to be by myself. I was in my 40s before I was diagnosed with Aspergers. No I'm not a fireman.

1978 I finally pestered my dad into letting me get an X-Wing from JCPenney; got it to the car and the black cannons on the wings were all missing! Boy he was PO’d, but I finally got a complete one and wore it out.

There was no way the Star Wars collection was worth 1400 dollars. It’s hard to sell the figures without the accessories, and not only that, I detected some reproduction accessories (like obi wans cape) so that just makes me skeptical of the whole collection

Those SW toys are neat but like the expert said, incomplete. That to me is a bare bones collection to be gotten at bottom dollar to be parted out to fill gaps into other people's collections or for beginner collectors who doesn't want to spend a lot initially.

It’s crazy how healthy Chum has become. He looks clear eyed and speaks so much clearer

I had that snowspeeder when I was a kid. Had so much fun with it. Gave it to my cousin. I regret that . Lost forever now.

I'm no Star Wars collector but having basic action figures without any accessories would have been a red flag to me.

I bought an original Milliam Falcon for my son back in the 70''s for $35. At Montgomery Wards.

i literally have 2 falcons and 150+ figures including multiple variations of Darth Vader as well as R2-D2 WITH a miniature hologram princess leia, i also have the snow speeder, a few tie fighters, an X-wing, and a set of 12 inch vintage kenner toys storm trooper dolls... if i only lived in vegas, i would have made sooooo much money

Wonderfull collection and ambitious people

As a kid in late 70s I was a sci fi fanatic. After seeing star wars when it first came out ,sesame street capt kangaroo and Mr Rogers went bye bye. I wanted star wars, then battle star galactic and buck Rogers . The star wars toys I had gotten originals for the first Xmas a year after star wars came out.I had that falcon I had an x wing, tie fighters and a tie interceptor. I also had the original lull size action figures of Han Leia and Luke not the little plastic ones the big plastic ones the size of barbie dolls. Basically Leia was a Barbie doll and the 2 guys were Ken dolls but don't up like star wars characters. Then years later I had the small plasti ones too. Had luke,leia,han,chewie,r2d2,c3po,Boba fet,Darth vader,bib fortuna,the emperor,the speeder bikes from return and one of the the speeder scout troopers.then dad bought me battle star Ceylon ships and buck Rogers ships I had me own space battles. I was given original flashlight light sabers made in 78. I haD darth vaders and lukes. I was hooked on star wars.

I was looking at what he purchased. Even before the end, I thought he got taken advantage of. Nothing looked complete, most had wear. Maybe the micro collection playset and vans were worth something, other than that I'm not convinced. And the Megos could have been repros. Well, at least he had fun.

Seeing the condition of the Star Wars toys: paintloss, incomplete, no rare items… I think even 1600 is overpriced. I do like the Micro Collection set though.

Back in the day, I had quite a bunch of the original Kenner merch that was released during the first three movies. About 80 figures and say a dozen vehicles, a Tie Figter and AT-ST being the most notable, guess for what money I sold everything back in like 1990?

Been collecting and perfectly preserving my Star Wars figures and related vehicles (mostly from the 2008-13 Hasbro Star Wars: The Clone Wars toy line based solely off The Clone Wars show) since I was 8. I have just now turned 24. Challenge accepted, my Master. :)

It is custom. In that spot sits the radar dish originally. I was gutted that chum didnt take the top of to see how much of the inners were missing.

I find it amusing that one of the captions refers to the prototype Boba Fett toy selling for 185k... the same toy Rick was too cheap to pay more than 100k for. "bUt I'vE gOt To ReSeLl iT"
